I really like my iPhone 8 Plus and thus haven’t upgraded to later model. Seems I need ios 17.x to download Google Home, and Apple is no longer supporting iPhone 8 Plus for ios updates. Oh well, that’s on me.

Brother from another mother! lol. I did the same thing, bought two since the price was $45. I still have not hooked up the second one yet. I’m not sure if I will move it upstairs or gift it to my son or a good friend that still does cable, ugh.
I am waiting for a faster processor to come out with the Pro model and that should take care of me for 3-5 years at least. I really like my Onn Pro Box, almost as much as the Nvidia Pro, but for $200 for Nvidia and $50 for Onn Pro the Onn beats the Nvidia to death. Adios Amazon crap boxes!
I suppose the Plus is the latest model, but one would think the “PRO” would have the faster processor. More memory but lesser processor than the Plus. But I think you are correct, and the new iteration of the Pro will have a faster processor than the Plus. It deserves that.

If you have Stremio for iOS app already installed you can extract it and install it outside the AppStore. Using Stremio and Chillio along with an Airplay or an HDMI to USB-C that also charges it the lightweight option when travelling.

I never suggest Firesticks anymore and have been on the ONN boat since I had two Firesticks fail.
I have bought ONN units at all price points and love them. I find the most expensive, and best, which was $49 can be found up to over $100. I can wait until they are back in stock at the original price
I recently searched all Walmarts in the city I was in as well as a larger city 100 miles north with no luck. Found a 4k max about 50 miles away ( I was going to the large city that day) and picked it up on my return trip. I find the ONN units very quick and, frankly, like the pro model as well as I like my Nvidia Shield.
I bought two of the ONN 4k Pro boxes at Wal-mart a couple of months ago. One is still in the box. I had planned to send it to my daughter, but didn’t want to be her on-call tech support. She’s smart. She can figure it out on her own. I think they were about $40 each they were $44.73 each. I should have bought four.
My local WalMart has four ONN 4k Plus devices in stock at $29.88 each. I should go snag them.
Meh… They are all over EBay for between $45 - $55 so yeah, they’re worth more than WalMart is selling them for, but not much.

Do a factory reset on the ONN and try again. I think there’s a small pinhole button on the back that you can press to do that.
