I have found the H618 chips in the unit selling now faster than the reports on YouTube. The older models had H614, but I have nothing to compare it to as this is my first T95Z Plus and they are as fast as my ONN Pro. I like my T95, especially for the price !
android 10 has excellent permissions to record to external drive using tivimate…jus sayin
Well, my T95Z Plus Android box arrived in the mail today. It only took 7 days to get here from China! I must say I was quite excited to get setting it all up as I’d just finished setting up a couple of Onn 4k Plus boxes. WOW, what a let down - compare to the Firestick and Onn offerings, this is a piece of absolute, unadulterated, garbage! The instructions are a joke, half of the sideloaded apps don’t appear on the apps screen, couldn’t log onto the Google play store, monitor dot for android doesn’t work at all, etc, etc. Back in the box and into storage. The only chance this ever has of seeing the light of day again is if Amazon and Google block all pirate apps and force me to suffer through its litany of flaws and limitations.
Do yourselves a favor and do not buy this box at any price!
Mine just came today, figured I would try it out before getting an AM9 to get used to the OS!!
The OS on AM9 is different - Ugoos is a better brand and supports their device

My T95Z+ arrived yesterday. Set it up an initial thoughts were I made a mistake. Took my time with it today and I am sold on ASOP! The 8k picture is outstanding even on a crappy 50” Google TV. Installed Surfshark, Downloader, Projectivy and Waves (I also use Tivimate but not on this box) and its off and running. This box is fast. All I needed to reconfigure from the Onn Pro was the sound so it would connect with the home theater system. Can’t wait to see it on my 75” TV.
Are your sideloaded app icons showing up anywhere?
I also installed Projectivy and apps show up just like ONN or Nvidia

Not at first. I searched for them in all apps and used Projectivy to move them to my favorites. But they were in there. AOSP is quite a bit different from Android TV as the user (i.e. manufacturer) can adjust it to meet their own requirements. Takes some getting used to.

Yes, they are there in all apps but nowhere else to be found. A bit of a pain to go there every time you want to run an app.
