Ahh yes. I do remember seeing that but I’m not one to join communities or social apps. Tx.
It’s really neither. You can search if the feature you’re looking for has been suggested. If it has been, you can vote on it and if it’s not there you can post it
I have put in a ticket on a number of occasions with no results. Not sure how posting in a forum for suggestions would help. I got responses to my tickets, they just weren’t helpful in any way. Thank you for the suggestion though, I appreciate it. Have a great day.
Can I get the Troypoint discount for Surfshark? I’ve had Surfshark for 3 years already and it’s expiring in December of this year. Will I be eligible for the Troypoint Discount?
Hello, they say it is only available to new customers but many on here have said they just put in a support ticket and ask for the current discount that we have and they give it to you. If not, just register a new account with a different email address.
Thank you. I’ll try putting in a support ticket on the Surfshark website.
For sure…I chatted with a really nice customer service rep. He looked into it and told me it is no problem at all. It works if you order straight from Troy’s link, and will add the time to your sub. I’m good till 2028 lol.
That’s awesome! Thank you for the heads up. I’ll do the same. Helps Troy out as well.
With the great discount Troy gets for the insiders, becoming a Patron is virtually free.
So you indicated that whenever you’re streaming with RD you never have to use a VPN. Is RD is what is shielding your system from the original broadcasters? If not what is shielding your system from the ISP or the original broadcasters that protects you from receiving notices of infringement?
Good question. I believe it is RD BUT it could also be that whereas Spectrum sent me a notice many years ago AT&T Fiber doesn’t care. The only time I ever download stuff is when I’m getting on a plane. I’ve been downloading shows/movies this week and I’m traveling this weekend. Never a problem downloading or streaming with AT&T for years without a VPN
Yes i believe RD encrypts their links. Or somehow else blocks the original source to the user.
You know for about 4 or 5 months when I first started streaming, I watched my IPTV provider without of a VPN and never received a notice. The only time I ever received a notice is when I watch something off of streamio without a VPN.
Oh wow Google finally spelled out s t r e m i o right for once!
That’s strange because I think @JPM69 hit the nail on the head about RD encrypting streams and I’ve seen many posts here that confirms that. If it encrypts streams for KODI it should for Stremio as well. But you will need to find someone here that uses Stremio without a VPN to confirm that and you probably won’t. Anyway i also think i it may be providers as well. As I said I can Download stuff from KODI with no VPN and whereas Spectrum cared when I had them in 2016, AT&T Fiber does not or it’s because RD is protecting me
Okay end of story, I want to go back to drinking my Coors light! LOL
Have a beer instead…
Damn. Thought I’d got away with that. I’ll get the wallet back out.
As my Grandpa used to say… decorate the mahogany
Real-Debrid addresses this by allowing users to download torrents directly to their servers first and then to their devices. This means your IP address is not exposed during the torrenting process, effectively hiding your activities from your Internet Service Provider. I delete my torrents and download history off RD once a month. Not out of an abundance of concern but otherwise when I’m looking for something there are pages and pages of records to go through.
So I wonder how the real debrit gets a notice of infraction or infringement. I’ve seen files removed off of real debrit because of infringement of copyright.
