Yea when you install the Wolf Launcher it will calm things down for you. Gives you more of a sense of control. When you jump out of a stock car to a super modified it can be a little overwhelming. Get wolf on there and you can get a grip on whats under the hood. :+1:

For the amount of time that these boxes have been around and how good they are I am very surprised that there isnā€™t more video ( in English) out there on setting them up and all the things you can customize to your liking . Everything out there is all review and nothing to help with setting up

I think thats about to change. A few kiddos get these and like them the vids will fly off the shelf. Iā€™m not much of a vid makerā€¦but we have a few lurking here that are :rofl:

I agree Iā€™m loving it and enjoy doing it like you but the beginners will need something to help them and get the most out of the box. As you know itā€™s very easy especially with the root option if you donā€™t know what you are doing to make your nice new box into a brick

These Ugoos boxes are the real deal and work great. Safe rooting is a snap using Installed Magisk and choosing the silent root option. I hope the word gets out about them here on Troypoint now that there are all these publicized update and o/s problems with Fire TV and Nvidia.

I agree. These boxes will impress just by picking one up. Not a cheap piece of plastic. They are well built with a metal alloy body and just look awesome. They also have a much talked about X4 pro box that is much cheaper with great specs. I have an x4 on the way to me via the antartic I believe. If things go as planned will be my back up.

You can notice these Ugoos devices weigh more than your average tv box. Extremely well made. If you check out the Ugoos website, you can access a photo of the inside guts, showing the heat sink, which is huge. I donā€™t use any cooling fan, and my AM6 B Plus runs between 36 - 42 degrees Celsius.

I do have one issue maybe someone will know a remedy. I downloaded Troypoints kodi fork so I can make it a sports only kodi. Problem is it downloaded to sideload launcher. Any ideas how to get that up to main screen?

Iā€™ve never had mine overheat either and it runs constantly. Itā€™s a well built device. Best purchase made.

Depends on your launcher I guess. I use TV Launcher 3 which has an app access icon on the main screen that you can use to load any of your existing app icons onto the screen.

That happened when I downloaded USTVGO 247 from APKPure. The app wouldnā€™t show in my favorites row. It would only show in my all apps list. So, I made a shortcut and converted a png pic to an icon and placed the shortcut in my favorites.

So farā€¦best I can tell that if you dl the apk file and install it always will appear on main screen. If it comes from unlinked its hit and miss. If you go through downloader it goes to main screenā€¦ I think :crazy_face:

I have only had that happen a couple of times. It really is not that big of a deal and u think some of those launchers like Wolf remedy that issue moot.

Just a word of caution to anyone that orders from aliexpress. Do not use the vontar store. They advertise the most so there lots of links just stay away. They ship veeeeeeery slow. I ordered the X4 pro 1st through Vontar it still isnt here. My other 2 orders already made it and they were ordered after the X4 :+1:

Can you just confirm that the AM7 is made of metal. Googled this and the ut8/ pro. Bit confused at some of the reviews stating plastic box.

Thanks. Just checked troypoints review. It states plastic.

So, now I am comparing UT8 and pro against AM 7. My only concern now is comparing rockchip vs amlogic.

The bench tests seem to point towards amlogic. But my current box and manufacturer is having issues with the amlogic chip.

Yes my am7 is plastic very nice box I am still setting it up but so far I like everything but the remote control
