Miki your right about the upscaling.8K tv,s upscale 4K content to 8K.Gotta start saving my money.TX keep us posted.Iāve been wanting a box but have been holding out for a new version of shield. This Ugoos might just be the ticket.
Have you actually watched 8k? For me itās to much. The extreme detail actually gives me a headache as I find it looks way different than the real world. I was never able to find a good setup. But it may just be I need more knowledge on how the huge amount of configuration settings affect each other. Itās a lot of work to get it right.
Miki when I watch stremio I tend to pick the 1080 version and pass on the 4k

Yes sir thatās exactly what I do as well. Sometimes I drop to 720 and let it upscale to 1080. But with getting the Samsung S95C I finally will have a system worthy of the shields ability and adding the Q990 11.1.4 Soundbar I can actually turn on atmos. Lots of learning to do.

I am sooooo looking forward to surround sound. I actually paid extra to have a Best Buy geek squad member set it up, especially the Q Symphony. Going to pick that young techs brains clean. Iāll probably send him back all garbled. 
FYI, I knew more than the Geek Squad and thatās not much.

Iāve never watched 8K. My tv supports 4K ,Dolby Vision ,HDR ,and HDR+10. All of these look great to me.I always watch the best quality streams available.I canāt imagine watching 1080 when there is a Dolby Vision stream available.Huge difference, at least on my Tv. Also watching sports in HDR is way better than than 1080.Miki I think a lot of it is finding the best way to set up your Tv. Mine I can set each format individually. Once I learned what looked best for each it was a game changer.I can now get a fantastic picture in each format that is absolutely realistic.

Miki Iāve got a Hicense U8h. I really struggled with making the decision to buy this brand. But after a bunch of research I decided to go for it. It performs well for the price.Iām sure there are better but a person has to be able to afford it.I think your gonna love your new tv. Your a smart guy and youāll be able to get the best out of it.
I was looking at the Q990, but changed my mind after diligent research. I now have this on the way for my 8k 86" Samsung:

Hey, donāt let anyone tell ya your stuff isnāt good. Iāve had to move back from Mexico for financial reasons and just decided the wie and I deserved to splurge. Up til now Iāve only used cheap Samsung TVs from Wally World and gotten by. Do Iāll never make a negative comment about what people use and can afford.

Sweeeet. I just got the q990 as itās samsung and pairs up perfectly with my new TV and works flawlessly with the Qsymphony setup. Yours is definately master class stuff.

Thanks Miki, I donāt know about āMasterclassā but Iām hoping it will at least give me more control of my Rear Speakers. I have a Bose system now, and itsā¦meh okā¦has great bass and rich sound on higher volumes, but I cant get the rear speakers to get loud enough for my setup. Iām no audiophile by any stretch, but do enjoy some killer surround from time to time. Next, ill āPunch upā the Couch and my Lazy-Boy with some Tactile Sub Transducers Iām scoping outā¦BOOM!

Checked the tracking number and no info as of yet, hence a quick mail to ugoos.
I knew it would be shipping soon because over the weekend I saw multiple reviews online.

nothing happns fast over there, first its loaded onto a camel for shipment to the port and then through customs to a slow ship, the ship then goes around the world twice I think and to a port on the west coast, then by land to customs in Chicago where it will sit untill someone comes off breakā¦
