@JerryJ Oh I significantly predate Napster.
well friend just bought 1 month premiumize cost him $19 cdn so now only one let they have raised there prices so no one can afford
I found it for $16 cdn/mth. 1 yr 9.25/mth. I got a blk friday 3 yr deal for $4.22/mth.
So watch out for the deals.
The prosecution of an end user for streaming content through a debrid provider faces so many legal hurdles it would nearly be impossible for someone to pursue.
But that doesnât say that I approve of TorBox decisions here. Essentially they traded user privacy for mass market profibility, reliable banking and corporate protection for its owners.
End of day⌠With the influx of members this was pretty much preordained.
And with my first statement in this post. The hurdles involved with prosecuting an end user.. it makes services an easy target⌠In a sense I hate their decision but also understand their motives of self preservation.
But.. Iâd still use it⌠Nothing like raw dogging the internet boys⌠Haha
Does Torrentio work for anyone? It used to work fine for me, but nit anymore, I think it has issue with VPN?
Hi thanks for the information, I was considering jumping ship from TB to PM before reading your post, its worrying that PM cap could go that fast by just watching larger or higher quality movies.
Is there not a difference between download and just streaming though? I would have thought streaming shouldnât factor into a cap, but could be wrong since still new to all of this since coming from plex/nzb setup.
Being one hundred percent straight with you.. u may have no issue with premiumize cap. Me personally I have never had an issue. But again I stream relatively small files most of the time.
Essentially you have about a 1 TB worth of points. 1000 points. You gain back about 30 gb every day to refill. But if you were someone that streamed beyond that daily you would technically run out of points at some point more can be purchased in the event you do.
Itâs not problematic for me I just donât like it. Itâs there to stop abuse from mass sharing your account. And creating overload on their servers using up all resources. I just wish they handled it like real debrid to stop account sharing and limited use to 1 IP address at a time.
Itâs my only real gripe. Itâs a good service tho. You also get an included VPN in a subscription so⌠If you use one of those that could bring value.
@globalman I canât speak for Premiumize, but with RD and TB streaming does count the same as downloading.
Basically âstreamingâ is downloading. Itâs just that your device is making the content available as soon as it has collected enough data (caching) to release it in a smooth, steady flow. That way you view your show as you expect. The data that comes to your house arrives in fits and starts.
I agree. But what is important is what the âlawâ defines as streaming vs downloading. Seems like there ought to be a definitive answer to that.
@Quincy I wasnât answering legality. I was addressing a Debrid serviceâs download limit and what streaming really is.
Oh sorry. I didnât read enough of the thread.
I still have over one year left on Premiumize from a fabulous 5-year Black Friday Deal. With rising prices, I am hoping they will offer another one so that I can âTop Offâ my account.
FYI, my son lives around 1,500 miles away and uses my Stremio account nearly daily. Apparently, Premiumize is not bothered by my account sharing as they have not sent me any warnings etc.
I donât think you need to worry about sharing, just worry about how much data consumed. Iâm not sure why you would share your Stremio account with your son. Why not create his own Stremio account so you donât see what heâs watching and he doesnât see what you are watching. Just my preference. You can still can share your Debrid service. Thats what i do for all my family members. I use Torbox so I can share with several family members.
Hi Guys
I find the discussion re streaming or downloading in this thread very interesting.
Although I always thought that I have mainly been streaming, on my TB dashboard, when I click on my profile symbol, a drop down list is showing âTotal Downloaded 92â with a lightening symbol at the side of it.
Is this TBâs interpretation of our actions?
Not sure what it means but just like to keep you all up to date on any findings I have.
@rhinorock, first of all, go to where the listing of all that is downloaded in your TB account. I never figured out if there was a quicker way to delete all of the downloads at once. So I deleted each one, one at a time as I absolutely didnât want all that stuff there. Honestly, I never found the TB site to be user friendly.
Then I remembered that I had changed a setting in several of my addons..The Gears and Red Light if I recall. There was a cloud setting within your debrid account settings. I just turned that off.
BTW, has anybody been visiting the TorBox Discord page? I should go check it out, when I have a moment, to see what the buzz is there.
Thanks for the advice @JerryJ.
On your TB profile page, there is a delete all downloads section. It covers a means of deleting 4 types of downloads, so I have carried out that task.
I am not sure what you mean by âThe Gears and Red Lightâ comment.
Is the thing that you turned off within TB or in the add ons.
All help and advice is greatly appreciated and I am sure these discussions are useful to other Troypoint users.
@rhinorock @JerryJ Your TB panel does kind of make some functions a little harder to find than it should be. But compared to trying to find a Transfer port out PIN from T-Mobileâs app or website itâs not bad.
Iâm a Kodi user, so my knowledge is limited to that system. within those two addons there is a setting (In settings) to turn on/off the cloud service for each of the debrid services like PM and TB. I had inadvertently turned that setting on and my TB and PM cloud storage sky rocketed.
Hey @JerryJ Iâm in the Torbox Discord. 42,000 members but not seeing much about the recent TOS changes
Thank you for the update SoloWarrior.
I surely would have thought that the changes TB made would be big news on their Discord account. Iâd bet that TBâs Discord is monitored.
