You can get it on the Playstore, the Companion app that is. It doesnāt cost you anything. This is basically just a dashboard for your Tivimate app and allows you to remove any devices from the installed list so that you can install Tivimate on another device as I believe itās only 5 devices per subscription that you can install it on.
I found that updating the playlist brought the menu back.
Notice some with problems deleting old devices no longer needed in tivimate so you can add a new one. I fought that too until one day I just clicked in the old one and typed in the new one. It asks if I want to replace the old one with this new one. Click yes. It worked and has worked every time I upgrade a device and want to add it and delete the old device.
Hereās an idea for you and your dog. Since a dog really doesnāt care what he watches. Why not set up a series of reminders to change channels. That way if a channel does stop streaming for whatever reason. Then the corrupted channel will at least change to another channel at your designated set time.
Just set your reminders to āWatchā.
Hello Sir: I hope all is well with you. I just have a little question. Which one comes first. Do I put the Companion on first, or the Tmate itself?? Say hi to those that know me. Thanks
Try going to Tivimate.com, log in with your account info, and manage your connections from there. Fun & Done.
A really good sports guide like IMPLAYER has would be nice .
My fave as it shows the streaming channel the event is playing on, and times of course. Then you just search for the channel and time in TiVimate and set a āReminderā.
Powerfader your remind idea for pets is brilliant. My parrot thanks you.
I think I have what I need now. I already have the Tivimate part installed, But I never had it totally installed because I could not get around making the premium payment. All I did was create email addresses and passwords. And I donāt know what comes first. The Tivimate or the Companion. This would be a good time for one of Troys great videos. I hope I donāt have to remove the Tivimate first and start every thing over. Have a great life.!!!
It doesnāt really matter as long as you use the same credentials for everything
- you can install TiviMate on your box and use it without Premium features and then activate Premium later.
- you can pay for Premium, install TiviMate companion on your phone, then install TiviMate on your box
Either way you have to activate the Premium features from within TiviMate
Assuming youāve installed TiviMate companion and itās showing that you have āPremiumā
In TiviMate Navigate to Settings, I donāt have my box with me but, IIRC, its under āAboutā then select āUnlock Premium.ā
Choose āLoginā and enter the email/password you used in the TiviMate Companion. Give your device a name and click āActivateā
That device name will then show up in the Companion app (may take a few minutes/need a refresh)
āCompanionā is not necessary anymore. Just use Tivimate.com and login and manage from there. To me thats much easier but to each their own for sureā¦
Thanks, I didnāt realise that - probably because Iāve got the app on my phone and as I havenāt exceeded the 5 device limit (yet.) I havenāt had to look at activation for a while
One thing that needs to be pointed out when making the following statement:
you can install TiviMate on your box and use it without Premium features and then activate Premium later.
Using āFreeā Tivimate without the Premium Sub is like buying an ice cream cone in 90° temps, and you canāt eat the ice cream, just the cone. Free TiVimate you can add one playlist and canāt use any of the apps features, just basically watch a channel and do nothing else. A real waste of time. I bought my lifetime sub years ago, I think it was $28 then, not sure what it is now but even if itās say $42 over 4 yrs that is $10.50 a yr or less than a cup of coffee per month, and well worth it IMHO.
You are very welcome @Thunderpants. Matter of fact I still have the companion on my phone too and dont need nor use it.
Hello

got a strange thing happening with tivimate and an onn 4k pro. I have a service with catch up, works really well on the Shield, but for some reason I can start a show (same iptv service) using the onn and it will simply stop. I have to manually forward to get it going again. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? I should add that I have actually tried two different services and they both do the same thing on the ONN 4k pro, the shield does not hang like that.
I would check the buffer size and set it to large and if itās right try an external player .
