How will it interfere with Streamlocator? From my understanding all this paid app does is supposedly remove geo restrictions, which my VPN already does and is a full VPN. As my ISP can see exactly what I’m am doing with this app active, I’m at a loss as to why I would use this or what advantage it has.
I believe Because Streamlocator is a dns service as well. I had to disable tduk to get the streamlocator app to work again
I believe that was Canadian $
So Streamlocator is just a DNS server? If you knew it’s address then you could add it to the TDUK app.
Maybe
Up here in Canada we pay double for everything.
Damn, that’s doesn’t sound like any fun at all.
Just noticed when I try to run any tests inside the ExpressVPN privacy and tools section in their app such as dns leaktest, or ip checker I get message saying something went wrong, check internet connection and won’t test.
If I disable @TechDoctorUK app, then those tools work okay.
and when i loaded it on my other onn boxes. it was already in my apps from other devices… clicked on it and it installed and works fine. best $2.15 i have spent so far.
@TechDoctorUK I just installed on my shield tv pro and it’s working great.
Thank you for creating this app.
Is there anyway to load this on my firetv devices?
I’m sorry for brothering you @TechDoctorUK
I read what your program does, but I am too dumb to even understand what DNS or DNS Servers are i have used Kodi applications for years along with a VPN and I can’t tell you how infuriating it is to try and choose a video from addons, watch as real-debrid searches for available torrent or other sites available to watch from, sometimes showing more than 80 sites and most are available, but then gives me message saying nothing found or avaliable. So I keep chaging my VPN to different sites/countries and still get nothing available. I use Quantum fiber (upgraded from century link). Do you think mu ISP could be Geo blocking my attempts? Do you think the TDUK DNS Switcher could help with this annoying problem? Like I said before, I don’t understand any of the Tech terms or what they mean. I just follow the tutorials and guides I get from Troypoint and from your YouTube channel. Please forgive my ignorance
Thank you @TechDoctorUK
Hi @Miki my dear friend and teacher
I’m embarrassed to ask this question, but what is a Streamloader? Is it only for PCs or also for a streaming box like my onn 4k pro android tv box? Is it connected with the TDUK DNS Switcher?
I feel so lost in here lately
Amazon have blocked local ADB connections so my app won’t work on there.
I tested it with Philo and it was a no go, had to disable it for philo to grab a internet connection. Yes strange and I will dig down more.
I am still researching it myself. Even their own site is pretty hazy about what it actually does and when you click on their review link it takes you right back to their info page. So far the little info I have gotten seems to indicate that it assigns you a specific IP address for the country where you are trying to get around Geo blocks. It does not encrypt your traffic or provide any protection from snooping and your Internet provider can see everything you’re doing. It costs around $6 a month. So it basically seems to be a DNS server of sorts.
Maybe due to the fact that the connections inside the TDUK are encrypted and the tools you are using don’t have the key to decrypt the traffic.
What app is that @PapaS ? Oh sorry Express VPN. As mentioned, my guess is that as the DNS is encrypted you won’t get the details as Express would not have the key to decrypt the DNS traffic.
I agree @Miki. I use Surfshark with Cleanweb activated. I don’t get ads on the aps I use - analiti, rbtv77 etc. I’m not sure what additional advantages this app gives, if any.
