I’m sure it is my fault but Stremio just doesn’t work well for me. I find it problem prone and often unable to find a good source. I use Weyd, kODI and Syncler for virtually everything.
I wish someone could walk through a typical search with me to determine where I’ve gone afoul. I’m pretty tech savvy and yet my guess is whatever is wrong with my searches on Stremio, its likely something lame I should have done. Oh well! Any volunteers?
@ProBowler , did you follow @TROYPOINT ‘s install video? now for full disclosure i do not use Stremio, but i read on here everyday…so i’m just asking, as here is a quote from Troy’s description….”For Stremio all you need to do is install the app, create an account, add a couple add-ons through their website, and you’re done. We’re talking 3-5 minutes total.” at the top of this post is Troy’s article on Stremio vs. Kodi, and inside that link is his Stremio set up video….
Is your debrid service added to Stremio? If YES, is your VPN blocking you? Try changing VPN servers and switching the VPN ad blocker on and off and see if that helps. I’m CLUELESS but my Stremio kicks rear end.
Stremio and Kodi are both pretty good. Kodi has been around longer so it’s a bit more bulletproof. It’s the addons and debrid services for both that crap out from time to time.
Hi Grace! I responded to you via email, which apparently never went through. I apologize if that is truly the case. To answer your question, YES I have RealDebrid & Premiumize. I also have a dedicated IP but have switched to a couple different sites to insure the VPN wasn’t the issue. I even momentarily switched off the VPN. In any event I decided to once again uninstall & reinstall Stremio following Troy’s outline and added AIO this time. I been using Stremio for 2 days now and so far no real issues. Maybe the 3rd uninstall & reinstall was the charm. THANK YOU for responses.

I tried Stremio, and I agree with just about everything printed.
But from my limited experience, I am finding tv shows that don’t show up on Kodi via FenLite, Umbrella, and The Crew. So in my experience, Stremio is offering deeper dive searching then Kodi does.
One quick example - The original French version of HPI (high potential intellect), not the new one on ABC (I like this one also)
But regardless, Stremio is a strong choice, and it still works on firestick.
I’ll keep Kodi as a backup on 1 device, but my other 3 are now Stremio only (set up once, instant access on all devices, sweet)
Hey @Robini just an FYI. The Original French version of HPI is on the KODI Umbrella addon. 40 Episodes over 5 Seasons. Tested a few of them and they all played
I’m jealous! I’m using RD with Umbrella and I get no stream for any episode in 5 seasons. I’ve tried Crew, FENLightAM and in this picture Umbrella. Everything updated, and cache cleared.
Could you possibly check to see if you can get results from season 5? If you are able to get streams and I’m not, I might have something wrong in my Umbrella settings.
I love kodi and I have been using it since it came out for use on fire sticks Around 2015? I have never had an issue with it. I have used the bee and the cinema apps but then things changed on the apps and I stopped using them. As far as Stremio I have carefully followed the step by step tutorial on how to download and use it, but I have never been able to get to work. Long live Kodi
Totally WRONG Question in my opinion. Kodi is certainly more customizable and maybe better, provided (1) you learned years ago when apps like YouTube allowed training videos (2) you are very tech savy or (3) you have lots of time to kill learning. Kodi is dying or at least becoming irrevelant and antiquated. Here’s why I make this statement. Apps like Stremio can get you up and running in minutes with a highly intuitive UI.
Would you like to watch movies/series in minutes or after many days of unassisted learning?
Its not a question of BETTER, its a question of expediency and convience. Stremio is easy and works great. Download the app use a resource like Bootstrapper and Bob’s your uncle.
Additionally, apps like Netfly are a cinch with the likes of Cinema and Bea close behind!
Even if you believe Kodi is BETTER, who cares? The Majority want quick and easy and that KODI ain’t.
My nickel’s worth … we don’t make pennies anymore … change happens (no pun intended).
Hi I have streamo and Kody I would not be able to set up streamio if it wasn’t for the bootstrap but the problem now is the bootstrap will not open for me and my phone or my laptop at least Kodi is easy to assemble
