Probably because it uses a different user-agent and is blocked for all other clients.
You can change user-agent in Sparkle by adding a pipe (ā|ā) character at the end of the playlist url like this:
http:// myurl/playlist|user-agent=SuperPlayer1.0
I donāt know what user-agent other players use but if you find out you can just insert it and my guess is itāll work.
lol same here.I was into enterprise before they axed it.but just never could get into ds9.
I love the timeshift options sparkle offers,but here lately been getting some crashes,that renders the feature useless.Also when I connect my bt headphones with sparkle running channel goes to some code.
Hoping the dev makes some improvements along the way,or maybe tivimate will add a timeshift feature.
Is everybody using the paid version of Sparkle? Is it worth it? Iām a Tivimate premium user, just considering Sparkle as a fresher look
The free Sparkle only allows 1 playlist and almost no features. A lot like Tivimateās free version. I have done a lot worse things with $16 in my life. The different look is refreshing to me, even though my main devices will always use Tivimate.
If you do a lot of recording, then Sparkle outshines Tivimate. However, that is about all it does a bit better.
It has a lot of promise and if the developer stays actively improving. It could take over the top spot from Tivimate.
Bottom line, for $16 bucks lifetime it is worth the time and dime.
Just be aware it is a work in progress and has a bunch of bugs.
@Powerfader ā¦ Delayed responseā¦ after further testing and the more I dig down into the settings and the more updatesā¦the more Iām starting to like this player. The ability to hide individual channels is cool as well as entire groups. And other than Tivimate its the only player ive tried that will combine favs from multiple playlist therefore no need switching playlist like in other players. A really plus at least as far as im concerned is the integration of local channelsā¦Tivimate does not have that option out of the box. Right now I have 2 iptv playlist combined with 2 homerun tuners and once all customized and channels re-arranged to suit meā¦5 stars to meā¦This app is rockinā 
I do like it Ron, I agree. I also agree I think it is potentially the 2nd best IPTV player out there. (I have never used Formulerās or Buzzās, so Iām not including them in this opinion) I follow the developer on Discord and it is a pretty active forum, with constant suggestions.
If the dev would allow you to create groups like tivimate does then it would be a top rival, well it already is dam good. I however do not like it tied to the playstore for ownership verification. I like tivimates idea with the companion app.
I agree about the Play Store thing and have brought it up to the developer, but I donāt think he quite understands why users may not like that.
The audio offset function will be in the next release of Sparkleā¦
I made some suggestions to the developer and it is being tested in the beta version as we speak. It works very well.
I like OTT Navigator,not as good as Tivimate but itās close.
After testing more have decided to switch to walmart ONN for $20 and dedicate sparkle to recording only on that device. Nothing else. Recordings are made to a network location.
Then watch the SPARKLE recordings with VLC anywhere in the network. As long as I use 5ghz wifi all is well.
Do not know why everyone tries to do triple duty with recording and watching and scheduling. Itās too much for a fire stick that Amazon keeps adding live channels mechanisms to.
Plus many service providers only give you one stream, so you need to be careful to record only one thing at a time and not use that stream simultaneously for anything else.
Dedicated ONN to sparkle recording has made everything so fully functional for recording/ time shift.
Iāve been testing Sparkle TV since the 15th of August. Simply really to test out itās timeshifting abilities. So far so good on that point (i should mention as well i have a lifetime version of CosmiTV - both of them look identical in their menus and layout)
The big problem i see is that you cannot view the full description of any program or any channel EXCEPT for the program or channel you are watching at a specific time. IOW, i canāt scroll up or down to another channel or even scroll ahead in the channel i am currently watching to another time slot & view the FULL description of programs coming up. For instance, letās just say itās 1 PM, viewing a program that goes to 2 PM - i am on, letās say Discovery channel. I can view the full description of that channel ONLY for that time slot & the particular program playing in that time slot. If i scroll to say 5 PM on same channel to see the description of what the program is about, i only get what is on the EPG, often only a partial description. I have been back & forth with the developer (btw, his name is Linus) I have sent him pictures to try & explain the issue. I told him neither TiviMate nor CosmiTV have this issue. I can scroll to any channel at any time & get the full description of every program in the guide. Unfortunately, i havenāt been able to do that with Sparkle.
I sure hope iāve explained myself well enough. Maybe iāve overlooked a step (or two, threeā¦) which would allow me to see full descriptions of programs. Does anyone have the solution to my problem. I had an issue the other day where i was in the Movies category looking only at a partial description of the movie. I set it to record, only to find out when i went into DVR section where i could now see the full description that i was not interested in the movie. The developer wants me to send him pictures from CosmiTV to show him how his guide works.
If there is no solution or workaround, i will not shell out the $20 when CosmiTV does the exact same things Sparkle does but much better, especially with this EPG issue iām facing.

You have to get a sub from an iptv provider and then install it on your player.
Is it best to turn off SLEEP mode on fire tv to make sure that sparkle works at all times ?
