I only have 3 iptv services on that app and zero recordings. Presently I am showing 2,20 GB. That’s HUUUUGE!
Do you have an IPTV service with a huge Movie/Show database for VOD?
Only 2 providers hav VOD movies and TV shows.
claims Movies 111,926, TV shows 15,847
claims Movies 63,301, TV shows 17,203
I’ll bet that is the issue. I only currently have 1 service on there and I don’t have any VOD on it, just channels. I’ll try here in a bit to add a service with a massive VOD and see how things change.
Can I reinstall the extrem url and eliminate the VOD stuff.
I have the same VOD stuff on Tivimate and a whole bunch more (10 Playlists and 20 epgs) iptv m3us, epgs, and extreme urls loaded and at present in Tivimate it shows 657 MB Storage and 648 MB Data
I added a service with a ton of VOD and mine only jumped to 251mb storage/243mb data. Something is very strange about yours that it would take up 10 times that. I’m not sure how you take out the series in Sparkle like Tivimate, but easiest way I have found to do that is using IPTV Boss. You can load just the channels or whatever, save on a Cloud and then reload url/credentials back into player.
Yeah, I may do that? I like the app but it has a long way to replace Tivimate. I may just clear data and see what happens. Since I am just testing this app I haven’t tweaked out my favorites and stuff like that. So even though I have made a backup. I think I will clear data and reinstall the playlists and see if the data reduces.
You can uncheck VOD and see if that helps.
Ok, I’ll look in Sources and try .
I’m not sure I saw that option in Sparkle. Maybe I didnt look hard enough. I know you can in Tivimate…i’ll have to look in a bit.
I looked and didn’t see anything, but you can configure the groups.
All that you probably watch Star Trek reruns at night huh! LOL
Man I can’t imagine there’s enough time in life to watch all that.!!
Yeah, I’m a big Sci-fi fan. Star trek is one of my favorites. Didn’t care much for that Deep Space 9 show, though.
…Where No Elon Has Gone Before.

Discord keeps yapping about the EPG but I guess I’m not convinced that is the issue? 25-30 days? Depends on the EPG source, right?
Yeah Star Trek is one of my favorites! LOL
I’ve run into too many issues with Sparkle and M3Us. I tried to install a couple of m3u urls and they did load and did populate the guide, but ALL channels errored out. These m3u and epgs are the exact same ones I have installed in my Tivimate and they work fine.
I messaged the dev and basically got a BS response. So, I am going to delete, and force stop the app and let it sit dormant for a while and will revisit it late.
Besides, Tivimate is far superior to Sparkle in just about every way except recordings and I rarely record anything.
Sparkle has a fair start, but has a long, long way to go to replace Tivimate.
I haven’t seen any of the issues you describe. And believe me, I agree, my intention isnt to replace Tivimate I just like the look and feel of the app. It likely does need some work, but with the active developer I’ll bet it gets sorted out.
I just now deleted 2 of my 3 playlists and checked my storage and data. The storage weent down from 22GB to 2.08GB, Date went down from 2.20Gb to2.06GB.
That is still a huge number as compared to my Tivimate with 660MB in storage and 640MB in data. Keep in mind, I have a dozen playlists and about 22 epgs loaded on my Tivimate compared with only ONE playlist and epg on Sparkle. Btw, that one playlist is
with NO catchup and NO VOD movies and TV shows.
I’m going to remove the last playlist and then force stop Sparkle and clear data. Then let it sit dormant for a while until the dev gets all these bugs ironed out.
Don’t need the hassle, especially since I have Tivimate.
Get this! I deleted the remaining ONE playlist and epg. I have NO content loaded at all and the app itself is still taking up 1.97GB of storage and 1.95GB of Data with absolutely nothing installed on it. That’s crazy! ![]()
Just cleared Data with nothing on it and it went down to 20.92MB. So, I will let this bsleep for a long while and hope the dev fixes his app.
What did you do to have you Data number that high? Mine is only 200 and some MB with two playlists loaded, one with lots of VOD.
