We’ve seen a ton of complaining lately regarding Amazon blocking free movie/TV show apps on Fire TV devices.
The thing is, there are better apps that people should be using anyway and none of them are blocked.
The main apps that are currently being blocked are those that provide illegal copyrighted content right out of the gate. Examples of these apps are Cinema HD, BeeTV, FilmPlus, etc. I call these “Crap Apps” as they are usually filled with malware and ads. Most of these Crap Apps have been cloned over and over again and there is no new development. The people who are cloning them are trying to make a quick buck through ads or malware.
The apps that aren’t being blocked are the ones that require third party addons to function properly. These types of apps will probably never be banned from Amazon Fire TV devices due to the fact that there are legal uses for them.
Many of the apps and addons outlined below require a debrid service such as TorBox or an inexpensive IPTV service to work.
Some people start hyperventilating when they see that they need a subscription for these apps to work but total cost is usually less than half of what you would pay for 1 premium streaming service. Plus, when you use a debrid service, it eliminates buffering, and you can find better quality streaming links (4K & 1080p).
Two of the most popular free apps for movies and TV shows that aren’t being blocked on Amazon Fire TV systems are Stremio and Kodi. Below you will find two videos that cover each of these free applications and how to properly configure them with TorBox or any other compatible debrid service.
Here’s a list of resources and videos that will help you Fire TV owners circumvent the Amazon App blocks.
Important Note: All of these apps work great on Android TV/Google TV devices as well.
TorBox Debrid Service
This service costs $3 per month and you can share your account with friends and family. Help your friends setup these apps with your TorBox account and push the expense onto them. Venmo makes this pretty easy. Find three friends or family, charge them each $1 per month, and the service is free for you.
TorBox Video Guides
Here are two video guides that will get you up and running quickly with TorBox + Stremio or Kodi.

Other Apps Not Being Blocked by Amazon
These applications work great with TorBox as well.
Many free live TV apps are also being blocked on the Amazon Fire TV devices but an inexpensive IPTV service paired with an IPTV player will fix this quickly. Plus, when using an IPTV service you will deal with less buffering and more reliable playback.
Most Popular IPTV Post Among TROYPOINT Patrons
Here is a list of the best IPTV apps that will work in conjunction with most IPTV services. The most popular option among TROYPOINT Patrons in this list is TiviMate.
This is a mega post that I will continue adding to in the future regarding Amazon blocks. I’m not going to play the cat and mouse game anymore trying to circumvent the free apps that they are blocking. Why do that when $3 per month along with the clean apps above work and will probably never be blocked?
