@Patachou bummer you are having so many issues. I would NOT recommend using a Launcher on the ONN Box. I tried this twice and both times my box was bricked. BUT the good news is it is very easy to do a factory reset. Please see this thread and in the 2nd post from the top @Miki outlines how to factory reset your box. DO THIS. it worked for me. Then when you get your box back up and running, go to the toolbox and install KODI 21.1 then whatever Build or Addons you want.
@MarkxG I went and read the outline on factory reset you advised me to check out by @Miki
I’m definitely going to try it! Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work!!!
Thanks once again for your help.
I’ll get back to you and let you know if it works for me…
@MarkxG Hello I tired to reset my onn 4k pro by following the outline given by @Miki that you suggested, but unfortunately it didn’t work . Just wanted to let you know so you didn’t think I was ignoring your response with help and advice.
Thanks very much for everything!
Good luck with the BoSox thru the end of this season (But not TOO MUCH!!! )
I’m having the exact same problem on a firestick. I deleted Kodi and completely reinstalled it to no avail. Interestingly, it is not happening on two of my other firestick 4ks… help
Theres a reset button
on those I read
@Faceplant I did try the reset button following an outline posted by @Miki but to no avail. Gonna try to return to Walmart and exchange it. My biggest problem now is starting all over again to set it up. Thanks for replying
Kodi (20.1) began crashing upon launching the app for me as well. Updating the app via google play and Troy point did nothing.
However, I observed that it would boot up and about the time it was loading the Elementum app, it would crash.
So before it would crash, I went to the “program add-ons” section, And opened up “ElementumOrg Repository”.
From there, select the option “update repository”.
As soon as I did that, it stopped crashing.
I’m not sure if that was your issue, but it was mine and I hope that helps.
