And the search issue is one reason that I got so upset with one-who-shall-remain-nameless about how he treated newbies, actually how he treated me and other experienced people.

Amen, Mike. I have also used kodi for years as well. It has been a struggle at times but has always rewarded those of us, that persevere, the knowledge to become better at programming our boxes/sticks. I have recently been using the latest Crew build (XontriX 3.2) and it has been amazing. Quick install, everything is already loaded as opposed to the Diggz build, and after the initial load, 90 seconds, it now loads in around 15 seconds. Give it a try, you’ll be amazed!
I’d love to, but I just moved back to Canada 2 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for best buy to deliver my TV and sound bar. Nothing to hook my Shield pro up to. lol. Soon. Tx for the suggestion.
I started out with Kodi back in 2013. That’s all I knew. Then I discovered APK’s. I don’t even have Kodi on my Shields anymore.
Kodi is great for a “one stop shop” for cord cutters. However, apps like Smarters, XCIPTV include both VOD and TV services.
I believe most people use Kodi because it’s mostly free. However, the constant admin work to keep addons working, etc does not appeal to me anymore.
I use Kodi addons such as The Crew for live sports and Cinema and Syncler (with real-debrid) for shows and movies. That combined with an antenna for local stations and we are good to go. 
It’s like the Eveready bunny keeps on going and going and going. LOL
Does anyone know if the dynasty add on in kodi is down , not working for me, thanks

Dynasty is working here but it wasn’t a fresh install. I’ve had it for a while.
What repo are you using, I have found 3 different ones,but they all say can’t find server when you press ok

YES, it is to me…I love it. Thanks to Troy’s regular post about the app setup. I have used it for 5 or more years. It is just fine for all my needs.
I like it myself some may not but I have not had but a few problems and they were my fault.
I think if you pick a very slimmed, down add-on for Kodi then everytime it starts up it updates the add-ons with little delay. I find APKs are very good but stiil they have problems I don’t want to deal with. I don’t use IPTV, as of yet , ao I don’t run into those problems. I am considering trying an IPTV soon because even with using YouTubeTV as my go to, it’s getting a bit expensive. I just want to be able to customize my service to only show the channels I want, no need for 4,000 channels!
