I use Tivimate to do just that. I have 3 groups, Sports, News, and Faves. A total of about 136 channels in the EPG. My biggest EPG is Sports with 78 channels displayed, faves has 43 and news 15.
It took me my IPTV service, Kodi, stremio to get through six seasons of a cop show. They all had issues at different times.
I love kodi. I use The Crew. I also downloaded Seren today. The crew is stable and the best.
Yes, Kodi is definitely worth it. Understand one thing that there is a learning curve.
Kodi is worth it, and I love using a build. I also use 2 Kodi Forks. That are much lighter builds for different reasons, depending on what I want to watch at the time.
I need help to get subtitles working on Kodi, tried a couple of times to configure Open subtitles without success, any tricks that may help ?
This is what I know.
I watch a lot of nature and documentaries on it. Really it’s all i need it’s free so no complaints from me at all. I can tolerate the commericals cause I remember when all I could get on a tv antenna was 3 channels. ABC,NBC and CBS every sunday I watched Walt Disney’s wonderful world of color That was a very long time ago
and a great show back then. anyone else remember this show?
I no longer care to watch disney anymore though.
Tv sure has come a long way aint it?
It’s free . So yes it’s worth it . I still find many movies and tv shows on the crew with no real debrid. Yes it’s a pain to install that’s the only cost to you .
So many complaints for something that’s free every where here on Troypoint .
Same with full page ads . I run two Gen1 4K Firesticks . No full page ads here on neither stick .
Seems most everyone here on TP has to always buy the newest greatest gizmo out . Then complain because of changes . Go to eBay and buy a Gen1 4K firestick and quit updating every time a new stick comes out . Save yourself a head ache and a few bucks too.
…and Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins ![]()
Kodi is great and if you only use one or two add-ons not much storage is needed. It depends on the person because I have had it on all devices and always fits along with all my main apps. And there are multiple builds that include everything in one install that you will need to stream and it is the best free source for sports replays. Not for everyone but definitely worth it
I have no issues with kodi Works great all the time
i’ve never used kodi and i’ve seen every tv show series, movie and ppv plus sporting events i’ve ever wanted to see for free? am i missing something?
I don’t think you’re missing anything. Kodi is also free and provides the same options as other apps. One big difference is the ability to use one media center for everything. It’s the nature of our hobby and the variety it provides augments that hobby. You either like it or don’t, but it’s just an option anyone is free to learn or not.
There are several ways we all get our content which is a good thing. I absolutely hate commercials even having to fast forward through them. So I use KODI for all my TV shows as it’s commercial free. I believe Stremio is the same but not sure? BUT KODI is IMO terrible for Live TV. So I use a paid IPTV service only for Live News, Sports, ESPN, Sports Talk shows, etc…
You are correct @MarkxG Stremio does not have any commercials, but it in no way can compare with Kodi when it comes to configuration options, like skins and layout as well as diversity of addons. IMHO that’s where Kodi outshines the competition, you can do so much more to “make the app your own”, from skins to layout. Kodi provides a huge learning experience and gives users a rush with every subsequent success. Yes I made mistakes when I started and had to uninstall and reinstall, but that frustration was greatly reduced by the advice of experts here, like yourself.
Nailed it @Miki, and I’m an addict ![]()
Sure is! At least 90+% of my content comes from Kodi!
90+% of my content I get via Tivimate. The other 10% is shared mostly between Stremio and Syncler+.
My bad. Was referring to my server, when I download content, I use Tivimate and Implayer for sports, series, news etc.
