The most powerful Android TV Box finally got the update I’ve been waiting for!
When this box was released this was my biggest complaint and it’s now been addressed.

In my opinion, the top 2 options are overkill. 8GB RAM is plenty for streaming media. If you’re a gamer you may be interested in the 16GB and 32GB options. The UnLimited comes with 256GB eMMC internal storage whereas the other two come with 128GB.
Hey Troy when did this update drop? I noticed a sudden flash as I was starting a vid and then my entire homescreen changed and now I have noticed that some options have changed. They removed the on board vids, Changed all my home screen setup and now I can’t get it back and have a couple of additions like “+ Add an App Row” and “+ Add a Content Row” that I cannot remove. Lots of configuration choices for the home screen are now missing and my P6L 256 does not show any“Update” available. I am stuck with my Home page displaying my apps and I already have an Apps page shortcut on the top row that I cannot turn off. So far this is a mess IMHO. I don’t use the Buzz 6 App. Tried contacting Buzz but can’t get past the confirmation/verification pics. So it seems this is just for the Buzz 6 App that I don’t use or want.
Oh I have found all you describe in the Video thanks Troy. But absolutely hate it. This is just for the Buzz 6 app which I never use and don’t want and now I am stuck with a blank home screen that shows the two options I mentioned without anyway to remove those. Just plain Ugly and disappointing, for me.
Thanks Troy just became a Patron this morning and have owned the Powerstation6 since you reviewed it a few months back. I’ve been using the Buzz TV IPTV app for years with other boxes (original classic box) and once I got used to it I won’t use anything else. Will try this new launcher later today.
Excellent video with lots of explanation for the new settings and how to effectively use them. Certainly a must watch for the P6 crew. Thanks for all your work Troy.
For all of those that have this box this must be the BOMB from what I see here. This really looks sweet & user friendly & I thought it was cool it shows the Codec/video/audio information which is impossible to see in many setups. I miss MOL3 for the small preview window showing what is playing too. Thanks for the excellent video Troy @TROYPOINT as this is a very cool update on these boxes.
Thank you for the great video on the new launcher update! I’ve had my P6 8g/128g up and running for about 6 weeks now. I really like this powerful box! Not sure if I got the update though? Time to go play…
I hear ya. What I really wish would happen is that all of these app devs support the Projectivy Channels feature so we could kinda do the same thing with that. Sparkle somewhat works but not many features.
Get the whole hog and go 32gigs of ram. Overkill, yes - for now. But down the road - who knows? Im glad i went all in and mine is smooth as silk and cool as the other side of the pillow! Stream on!
Not to mention it can access the system picker easily and has a 256 GB storage for recording. The RAM is also DDR5. 64 Bit so all those app releases load and play easily.m
