Found the settings in my TCL and followed your advice and it worked!
Wooo hoooo. Gotta love when something works out. Enjoy my friend.

Another update this morning. 2.2.5-beta.1
I forgot to mention this is an incremental update with some additional tweaks. Nothing major IMHO.
Try using Tiviglass
I appreciate all the great replies. Thanks…![]()
@Miki Todays update fixed my voice search issue, so thanks to @TiviGlass ![]()
I have been passing off all your issues as well as any others mentioned. This Dev is keen to ensure all users are happy with TiviGlass. It does take a bit of time to fix some issues and sometimes fixing one thing may break others, so thanks for your patience, and glad it got fixed. Enjoy.
I downloaded and installed the TiviGlass Player. Stayed with the free version. It’s a very very nice Player. It has it’s own EPG, which is nice. I happened to have another one or two EPGs I’d like to install but I’m either overlooking how-to or it isn’t allowed.
If anyone here is the go-to pro on TiviGlass and can let me know anything with adding an EPG that would be great.
Again…thanks for the help.
@Mazda321 …i could be wrong about this but just for clarity…TiviGlass does not provide its own built-in electronic program guide (EPG) or content. The application acts solely as a player that requires users to supply their own lawful IPTV provider details, including M3U playlists and separate EPG sources (such as XMLTV URLs). While the app supports full EPG integration and catch-up features, the program data must be sourced from the user’s provider or manually added external guides.
Open up TiviGlass and go to the settings. Open settings and you will see every imaginable category you could want. Read each categories description. You will find what you need there.
Sign in and then go to menu> support and ask the AI questions. Get step by step instructions.
The user guide is a great resource where the bottom right there’s an “Ask TiviGlas” button ![]()
100% thanks to everyone for their help.
TiviGlass is a winner in my book…and I’m doing the free version. There a small learning curve as I’m use to using Tivimate. But how can anyone not like TiviGlass???
TG is OK so far. It seems to buffer a lot and I have decent internet. Recording really sucks. It seems to be very VPN sensitive. If VPN isn’t on it doesn’t really work. I really like the features it offers but so far not impressed, just to me
I have 3 different VPNs and never had any issues with recording, either 1 time or series and definately never have any buffering. Tested all 3 VPNs. I have a 150 GBs down ISP. Easiest recording I’ve ever seen to set up as well and no system picker needed.
Have you run diagnostics to see if it returns any suggestions? Is this a specific device that you have problems with?
I know SS just updated their app and it now has the auto connect that was never there before. I’ve been using the iOS on my TCL instead of a Onn box or ? I tried recording the Solheim last night and it was OK for a few minutes then it jumped ahead about an hour. Strange. My download is usually above 35-40m. Sometimes my internet takes a dive and it loses it’s mind! I don’t record usually ever but there a few times some sporting events start in the middle of the night. I really like TG in it’s many features and the recording was one of them since TM doesn’t really work that well either. Still plugging along with this. Considering just getting another Onn box and taking the TV out f the equation
I am a little confused though. TG is just Android, no iOS install. So you can’t record off an iOS device. Also to ensure uninterrupted playback or recording you are borderline on speed IMHO. I know some say for UHD you only need about 20GBs, but it has been my experience, that if you want to ensure no dropped connections, or hiccups, you need more like 50 GBs. Also be sure to stay on top of updates as now there are new settings that will allow your system to switch automatically to another source of it senses one is buffering badly. Sorry I am not sure exactly where those settings are as I rarely have any buffering but if you need me to then I will dig through the settings or log on to my User Panel and ask the AI.
My mistake on labeling. The TCL is android and basically unless you told one would think I was using a separate box. So maybe my iffy internet might be a problem. It can vary from below 10 at times to close to 50. I can get faster speed from my ISP but it’s a small telephone company and the charge premium for service. Maybe I’ll trial a faster speed just to see if it makes a difference. 100 is as fast as thet get
hello, have you ever opened a support ticket? or put anything in discord? i suggest trying the self diagnostics too, that can sometime help
