This tutorial shows how to install TiviGlass on Firestick and Android/Google TV devices. TiviGlass is a freemium live TV player built for Android TV/Google TV devices that integrates well with almost any live TV service. The player supports integrations for M3U URLs, M3U files, Xtream Codes, Stalker portals, and even Stremio add-ons for premium members. It…

It does have a Discord group TiviGlass I went for the lifetime for about $49.00 usd. The developer is very active and adding improvements all the time. I love that it has a diagnostics tool to help figure out some issues and built in stuff for things like codec work arounds, and you can get a premium test for 7 days for free. The sports hub is very cool showing live and upcoming stuff. Now there are some things that are in beta like the ability to create our own groups and add channels and the EPG assigning for individual channels needs work as well IMHO. It’s fast and love the Posters etc. for movies and addons. Definately has potential but is still a backup for me. I have been testing it for 4 days now.

Thanks for the heads up!

The two questions I always ask of about any iptv player..

Does it support recording?
Does it support timeshift?

I see the premium version does offer dvr recording. Have you tested it?

Thanks

Hell ya. It pauses live tv and you can start it back up, it has time shift and records live tv or series or future recording, will record to external drive. He is in the process of setting it up for plex recording or nas. Just tested recording to my internal as I have 256 GBs on the P6L.

Color me intrigued! Thanks Miki. Also thanks Troy for the review.

Looks good, will try it out.

@Miki could you advise if this new player has a built in EPG file for playlist ? I went to the web site to read up on this and it said "Live TV & full EPG. If this comes with it’s own guild for any playlist loaded this would be a game changer

It loads an EPG and has the ability for you to add additional ones. I did the update epg and it loaded around 300,000 programs. Still some blanks but pretty good in general. Does need some additional improvement so you can do better searching to load epg info for individual channels after adding your own epg. Doesn’t as well as TiVimate in that regard.

@Miki Great, I have one provider that I am having a hard time getting a good EPG loaded on TiVimate. I do have 2 playlist that I have an EPG from ( EPGenius ) works great but they do not have one for one I have, so I am curious to see if I load this playlist into Tiviglass if the EPG would load most of the channels with a guide.

Appreciate you reading!

I have yet to determine if added EPG guides are actually searched when trying to use or obtain info from EPGs added. Maybe best to join the Discord site and post concerns/issues there. Using this daily for 5 days now, there are a number of improvements needed to make it as good as Tivimate, but it also has a lot of options TiVimate doesn’t, like the diagnostics, cloud sync, and being able to pause live TV. But even the pausing of live TV needs more user friendly controls. The Dev seems very active so we’ll see.

How do I add channels from groups?

Hello. I have used TiviMate for some time. I just installed TiviGlass. It looks interesting. I have not gone “Essentials” or “Premium”, but might. Can anyone tell me here if I do, whether or not I can choose a Network Drive for DVR recordings? I see under the Storage section of “Movies, shows & recordings” that it requires “Essentials” but says “Internal, USB/SD card, or a folder”

The question is whether or not I can designate an SMB folder on a NAS.

i tried alot of iptv players but none came even close to tivimate.

Very nice looking screens but there is a steep learning curve to this player. The navigation is like a maze but that is probably because there are so many options and settings. Definitely not for a novice or those who want simplicity in setting up their streaming apps. As Miki said, Tivi Glass is not quite ready for prime time and for ease of set up and use, stick to IBO Pro and TiviMate. I would choose StreamVault over this player and there is no subscription charge for it.

Its non stop buffering on tiviglass. Ive tried all and nothing works.

I tried it out,i like it,it has alot of potential.I love the home page and how its setup.I like it better than Streamvault, but they have a few kinks that need to be worked out though.

Have you used the diagnostics, or backed out, force stop, clear cache and try again.
