How to Install OnStream on Firestick & Android TV

I use it all the time simple to use great app

Is there any way to get this on firestick anymore

I like Onstream BUT they limit me to 30 movies and TV shows in favorites, if you get more, there seems to be no way to see or access them.

Hi there, you could try App Virtualizer - How to Install App Virtualizer on Firestick/Fire TV (Bypass Blocks)

Onstream has been replaced on firesticks with mobiflix to get over amazon block its same format by same creators of onstream . so bottom line is onstream works on other devices but not firesticks

I just opened my OnStream and it’s working. What was it replaced with. Mine is Version 1.1.0 Is that an old one?

Mobiflix

Ahh ok. But OnStream is still working right? Latest update was in April.

Could you please tell me, If there is a way to stop onstream buffering all the time. It even buffers on 360 mode. Thanks.

Hello Troy. i just wanted to let you know that I have been using many" tools" from your toolbox for a couple of years now. But lately, when I get a New heads up about something New you have, I get up to the " would you like to install this app? “click install,as it starts, after about 3 seconds,” Cannot install app, Google Protect not Verified,or some mumbo jumbo along that line. never had this problem,up till the last month or so. I am using the Onn 4k Pro. For about a year now. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi there, you will likely need to disable Google Play Protect. See this - How to Disable Play Protect on Android TV & Google TV

Thanks Miki, but the buffering on happens when I use the On stream APK. I see now, that many others are having the same issue. Must be onstream end glitch. Cheers.

I’ve noticed a major push toward debrid-based apps lately, and I’m curious if I’m the only one feeling frustrated by it. It seems like every recommendation requires a paid debrid subscription just to get decent performance, which defeats the purpose of a simple, “install-and-play” app.

These newer apps feel increasingly like Kodi—requiring complex setups, multiple add-ons, and constant tinkering just to scrape content. I really miss the simplicity of older apps like Onstream, Cinema, and BeeTV, which worked right out of the box with built-in scraping. Some had debrid add in function but certainly not required. Does anyone else feel like we’ve lost that user-friendly experience, or is this just the new reality for streaming apps?

I honestly equate it to buying a new car with all the gadgets. If you want a top line experience then you have to learn how to use the GPS, sound system and how to open your “moon roof”. We use to only have standard shifting cars with standard steering and brakes. Now we have all the latest and best tech. So you can buy an old style basic car or get all the bells and whistles and learn how to use it. I’m 72 and embrace it all and fully love it especially for my convenience. Hell a car with heated seats and air conditioning? Damn that’s luxury.

There are still basic working apps out there and you can still find addons that don’t use debrid, but for both added convenience and service, as well as quality, things are heading that way. When the wife came home from work one day, and said the school was giving her a computer for free I asked what the hell do we need that thing for? Now look at me, a wanna be geek. Damn life has changed.
