šŸ”„ How to Install Nuvio on Google TV/Android & Firestick

So glad that you got this working! I didn’t think from your description of the issue that this would be the cause, but glad that it is (and is now fixed).

Most people using Nuvio choose to delete Cinemeta from their addons list (a nice thing that Nuvio allows which Stremio doesn’t), and replace it with AIOMetadata (using TMDB and other sources). Nuvio developers have indicated that metadata provider addons (ex: AIOM) should be placed first in the addons list to ensure things work properly. I know people (including myself) have asked to have this odd ordering nuance eliminated, but nothing has been done about it yet. For now, it remains a strange quirk of the system.

The thing is @wcr5jop1 I have those integrated into Nuvio TMDB, and other sources, but that didn’t make any difference when it came to showing Seasons and then clicking on one, their corresponding episodes. For a very odd reason moving Cinemata to the top of the addons made all the difference in the world.

I just noticed on Bootstrapper you have the choice on setup to either setup Stremio or Nuvio. Don’t know if anyone has tried that, I have not, just asking?

I tested the bootstrapper out but got rid of it and then went with TorBox and DuckSreams. But I may just end up with DuckStreams as TorBox is getting rid of it’s Stremio addon. But DuckStreams is like a ā€œMasterā€ addon as you can install all sorts or addons within it. I found the most efficient setup for both Nuvio and Stremio was to use just 3 addons within DuckStreams as really, how many sources does one really need?

Thank you for that. I deleted the Torbox add on and re-ordered the add ons. It works beautifully. Perhaps I’ll use it one day.

I have been using the Torbox addon every night! Oh well I have others. Thanks for the heads up.

I’m still using it until it dies which I was informed will be July 1st. The API key will still be valid and work in the addons you have authorized it in. API key is not going to be affected.

@Miki Since my Surfshark does not play nicely with Torrentio-Stremio on Charlotte, I added COMET with both PM and TB and that, along with Duck, generally work like a charm. Duck is getting blocked a bit too on Charlotte though, Happy Weekend!

Ya it took me a bit of testing to find the ideal location for my VPN. When I did find them I made sure to write them down. Specifically the server numbers.

Is there a post on how to install DuckSreams ? Search did not turn up anything on this.

Is this what you’re looking for?

It’s DuckStreams. That maybe why you didn’t get results.

Yes, thanks

Now that is a quick start setup. If you get deep into it then it can be a lot of work and takes some learning for sure. Give it a go and see where you get.

Will do. Have a lot of TV time now with recovery from surgery.

Miki are you saying Torbox will not work in Stremio after July 1 ?

The stand alone Addon no. The API key authorized within addons like Comet will still function.

@Miki ā€œIt makes streaming EASY by doing all the hard work for youā€!

A dream come true!

Great conversation we’re having here. Very informative. I recently installed Nuvio and giving it a try. I’m a happy Stremio user but enjoy having options. I have a question regarding Duck Streams and AIOStreams. Am I understanding correctly that there is connection between the two? They both seem to provide the same thing, but different. Can anyone explain? I like to keep things simple and uncluttered. On Nuvio I just have Cinemeta, Duck Streams, Torbox Apk, Torrentio/torbox and OpenSubtitles v3. In that order. Curious what everyone else is using. :victory_hand:
