šŸ”„ How to Install Nuvio on Google TV/Android & Firestick

Hello again! I’m trying to install the USA TV on the nuvio hub for some reason, I put the link in on add-on from my phone it shows that it it’s been installed, but when I go to my TV app, it doesn’t show that it was added on?

This is a known issue with the USA TV addon. It’s been reported to the developers, and is on the list of items to be addressed (based on priority & reported date).

Force close the app, clear cache and try again.

Thank you! that’s exactly what I did appreciate everything that you do. I’ve been following you forever seven years and I’ve learned a lot and I’m still learning again.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Thank you, brother. I got it. Appreciate it. Happy saint paddys day.

Nuvio beta, as of the latest update, is still squarely in the ā€œunusableā€ category. I was so frustrated with it, and the lack of correcting issues, that I completely uninstalled it on my P6L and reinstalled it, which seemed to work for a short time. But and this is a huge but, the issue I have, quickly returned. Some series added into my library once again began to display an issue that arose after about the 4th or 5th update of the beta and that is the series began to NO LONGER display seasons and series episodes, making it useless. So until this can be resolved it’s back to the reliable Stremio. This does not occur on every series and I have been unable to determine why this is. But from before the reinstall, it’s the exact same series. Absolutely no problem with the app on my tablet though and you would think that uploading that setup to the cloud would sync the beta to that working configuration but it doesn’t seem to be so. :crossed_fingers:

Miki, thank you for all you hard work in setting up and testing Nuvio!

I have been busy and stayed out, but will definitely do this app when all the bugs are worked out.

@Miki I spent a little time fooling around with Nuvio back when TP first posted it. I couldn’t see where it was any better than the other options as it displayed a few issues that indicated that it wouldn’t be my first choice.

IMO, Strmr is a much better option for onebody that’s looking for a Stremio alternative.

I have been keeping this app in hopes that it will turn into a quality backup. The last time I used it, the show I tried to watch started playing but the video player was nowhere to be found. I was still seeing inside the Nuvio app as if I was browsing for a show to watch but the audio was playing and I couldn’t get it to stop. I had to exit the app and do a force stop. I will keep the app and hopefully it will mature into something usable.

I honestly wish we could merge Nuvio with Stremio as I do like the Nuvio interface and the calendar better than Stremio and with Stremio I prefer the way it places a number on the posters in my library showing the number of unwatched episodes as well as the reliability.

Nuvio is still in beta so there is time for additions/improvements. I like to keep those two apps separate as I like to have choices, and the more competition the better for the end user.

Agree totally. Just a blend of features would be nice. A sort of best of two worlds. Not sure how long a beta takes before an actual release but I bet it’s a ton of work, and coding, with so many different devices and codecs alone, and they do it just for donations. That’s why, although I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, I don’t mind chipping in to help the developers get something for their hours upon hours of work. Have a buffer free day and Stream On.

I agree and donate when possible.

Completely SUCKS stremio so much better EVERYTHING BUFFERS ON THIS. cheap knockoff will never be stremio nowhere near it. kodi and stremio so much better.

I think it’s important to keep in mind the following statements that the developers have issued:

Nuvio Github page:
ā€This is a beta version intended for testing only. Expect breaking changes in updates. Normal users are advised to wait for the stable release.ā€

Nuvio Discord Server:
This is a beta release, expect bugs and breaking changes, and is not meant for daily use, only for testing. If you want stability, wait for the stable build.

People who do not want to be part of the beta testing process, provide regular bug/feature feedback, and that are not patient during this iterative phase of development are advised to wait before using Nuvio. It’s important to have the right mindset before using any application that is in a beta release phase, so that your expectations are not misguided.

Thank you for posting this. It seems this fact has been lost in this thread

been testing Nuvio with different addons, I used Troy’s video on how to steup Sremio torbox addon,

and used to same addons from Stremio from that video and added them to Nuvio and works like Champ.

A brand new version (0.5.0) requiring a fresh install just dropped this morning.
