This guide shows how to install IPVanish on Firestick and Fire TV devices in 2023. IPVanish is one of the most popular VPN providers in the world among those using the Amazon Firestick, Fire TV, and Android TV devices. This VPN is known for its blazing-fast speeds, unlimited devices, no logs policy, Fire TV app,…
I am using IPVanish with firestick 4K and am having a couple of issues that I hope there is a fix for. First, when I do a Speedtest with IPV not connected, I get between 220-260mbps but when I connect IPV, I get between 20-30mbps. Second, at times when using Cinema with IPV connected, I get zero links and when I do get links, I get far fewer RD links than normal. If I disconnect IPV, I get 10+ links but rarely are they RD links. Is there a way to fix these issues? Thanks !
I would try to re-authorize RD, and I would test out another streaming apk to see if the RD links are populating better than in Cinema. I understand the urge to want to keep Cinema, I am just not convinced it is even remotely close to what it once was.
I have given up on trusting speed tester results with a vpn.
See the link below. We discussed this recently.
Also, are you seeing a diffence in the streams buffering are you just going by what the test results are.
As for the sources i havent noticed any difference with my IPV on. Check what location your ipv is on. Maybe there is a block on for at that location.
I have seen an increase in buffering and I have deauthorized RD, I have even uninstalled Cinema and reloaded the newer stable version. I will read about how to speed up the stick but I did follow all recommendations last year so I am not sure how much new there is.
Sorry, should have been reauthorized RD
I also often will change the location of the vpn bc that used to help but it doesn’t seem to any more. I watch quite a few shows from Canada, UK, NZ and AU and it is very hit and miss if I can get links. It is very frustrating.
Yeah i am sure it is frustrating. Just know that RD does encrypt their links but a vpn is an extra level.
There is someone from IPV on TP. I remember they appeared in a thread once (possibly more). I believe the TP name was the same/similar as the company’s.
Try searching TP for IPV threads and you might be able to ask for help. If i remeber they helped someone with an ipv issue. Or determine for you if its a IPV issue at all.
I dont know how "offical"business members work on TP. Meaning if they are verified or not.
Perhaps @Miki can help find the tp member.
I was just remembering i could search that way when you posted. You are good my friend.
Thank you! I will be looking for a new option when my current subscription runs out in a couple of months. I have tried to deal with their tech support a few times over the years and it is ridiculously frustrating the run around you get.
I am fine not using the vpn when I can RD links but unfortunately those seem to be few and far between these days unless it is a current season US show.
No problem. Id still reach out to the ipv member on here for help. Cant hurt.
Your issue can be a few things might as well rule out or know its ipv or not.
You could change vpn and still get the same problem.
Thank you!
I had the same issues with Firestick and the speed difference when using IPV vs not using IPV. That all changed when I switched to ONN Box. With Firestick I was lucky to hit 25 speed. With the ONN I am consistently getting around 90 speed now. I believe that it is the Firestick and/or Amazon that is the problem.
I just got that email and watched about half way so far.
I found it funny he was getting better than 100mbps with a vpn on an ethernet that cant give more than 100mbps.
I still dont trust the speed tester apps.
What device can’t get more than 100MBs down?
He was using the onn pro with ethernet and said it maxes out at 100mbps.
Troy said it was an Analiti app error in the video.
