IPVanish and Surfshark hold the top two spots in our VPN rankings for streaming and general Internet use. Over the past several months, complaints about VPN blocking have surged across the TROYPOINT Insider, comments, and emails. Various IPTV services…

Why would I be subjected to change an IPTV service with Surf Shark. They’re the problem!!!

It Isn’t. They don’t ban their own servers it’s most likely ISPs, but who knows for sure.

Some IPTV services are blocking the VPN servers. As my videos show there are ways around that.

If for some reason you can’t find a VPN server that works we suggest getting an IPTV service that doesn’t block VPNs as there are plenty of them available.

A iptv service blocking a vpn could be many things but I would guess its an ip block ban trying to block a ddos etc.

I would rather keep my services that have been working well for me than to switch to new ones who may or may not as reliable as what I have now…ridiculous suggestion! I have a subscription to Surf Shark but haven’t used it for the last six months as it’s not worth the hassle of of having to check multiple locations to find one that works! I now use Nord and only encountered a problem twice in the last 6 months and all I had to do is disconnect/ reconnect the server. Just waiting for my Surf Shark to expire…

I have 5 different IPTV services left over from reviews that we’ve done with one that blocks VPNs whereas the other 4 don’t. How is it “ridiculous” to cancel the one that doesn’t work well with VPNs rather than jumping around from VPN to VPN and they all have the same problem?

And, I understand your situation as well where you find one that works well and you would rather find a VPN that works with THAT IPTV service. But, I wouldn’t say that it is “ridiculous” to do what we suggest in the article.

I also wouldn’t call it a hassle to check multiple locations as once you find one that works, you just keep connecting to that location. Most VPN apps have options to favorite the servers as I also show in the videos.

Exactly what I did. My apollo was blocking my VPN so I switched IPTV and the new one that I’m using is more dependable anyway so win win. Thanks Mr. T!

I was doing that on Surf Shark for awhile until I encountered the problem that a working one would last maybe a day or two and it would start over looking for one that would work. That’s when I switched to NORD where I don’t have to keep switching locations to find one that’s working that day. I call that just as ridiculous as switching providers. I don’t have problems anymore and my current providers have been stable for a long time. I don’t have to mess around when I turn on TV….it just works with out needing for fix the VPN.

In your opinion switching providers may seem ridiculous but that’s you, not everyone thinks or feels the same as you do. You found a solution and good for you but please refrain from disparaging other ppls way of doing things, it’s actually against our rules now. I also have Nord and it works very well, but it also had the blocked addresses, maybe not as many as SurfShark but it did have some. Have a buffer free night.

No swearing or disparaging comments.

Now I’m being disparaged for honestly addresing something I think is wrong. Sorry to disagree with your thinking, I didn’t know “your rules” were broken. Not that I believe you’re right, I was just giving a perspective for other users to know there is an easier way instead of changing providers and/or and playing cat and mouse with Surf Shark.

Now I thinking my free speech rights have been taken away…LOL.

Nothing wrong with your needing or wanting to make a comment and there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. It was calling the way others were handling the situation ridiculous. That is where it becomes disparaging. What they did was right and for good reasons and was far from ridiculous. Now I am not going to have a back and forth tete et tete as this now also violates our rules regarding off topic comments. I was merely trying to help you understand.

So you are either playing cat and mouse with VPN provider or cat and mouse with IPTV services, it’s the same. Since all VPNs have problems with blocks I would rather find an IPTV service that doesn’t block VPNs. You can argue this any way and both are right.

They aren’t his rules, they are the rules of the site that most have no problems abiding by. I think we have a pretty friendly place here and we will keep it that way.

#2 Be kind to each other. It’s OK to disagree but do it in a nice way.

#5 No swearing or disparaging comments.

You don’t have the right to free speech on any website that I have ever been a part of. Each website or platform have their own rules and you either follow them or get removed.
