Coffee Discussion

One question though. Is that %50 al-cool-hol and 50% coffee?

Never say Never my friend! Just remember that there are surely ā€œLevelsā€ of Coffee ā€œaficienadosā€. I call them: ā€œCoffee-Curiousā€ then ā€œOccasionalsā€ then ā€œLoversā€ then ā€œGeeksā€ and finally ā€œSnobsā€! The last category - Maxwell House fans need not apply!

That involves way too much thought, it’s really just a pour an go situation, an for full disclosure, ā€˜only on snow days’, so near the ocean here in NC, that MAY be once a year :wink:

Damn that’s a shame. I was hoping for a different recipe than I have. Didn’t want to appear to be an alchy, but if the shoe fits hic. Swarry I’ve got a mean coffee glow. Hic.

Searching for a decent source for a green Cuban coffee beans. I roast all my own coffee. Had a great Cuban coffee, called Cuban Queen, when in Key West, a couple years back. But they wouldn’t sell me any green coffee. It’s amazing coffee!!!

I had an earlier Behmor. It did light roasts fine. It would time out before I could get to a dark roast, like a French, ot Vienna, roast level. Ended up building my own propane fired roaster, then bought a commercial electric roaster that I do all my roasting in now. Nothing like freshly roasted coffee.

Seeing those ā€œhipster beansā€ and ā€œmainline rig" cracks me up. I like to drink coffee, but I’d probably quit if I had to go thru all of that for a pot, ha

Well done. Roasting is FUN and you can create/generate some wonderful chocolatey espresso pulls.

Something that I found interesting, from my dental hygienist, was that tea actually stains your teeth more than coffee. But I do like to have a cuppa tea occasionally.

It’s interesting you mention staining. My dentist rails on me to RINSE MY MOUTH OUT WITH WATER SEVERAL TIMES after each cup of coffee for plaque and staining issue. Now I’m obsessed to do it after all food and drinks. Psychosis runs amok in my brain.

I order Cameron’s Coffee Roasted Whole Bean Coffee, French Roast, 4 Pound. It’s the best coffee I have tasted for the price. I have a Cuisinart 12 cup maker with built in grinder. It grinds the coffee before brewing. I clean the maker at least once per month. For reference, I drink a full pot in the morning and 8-10 cups after dinner. I haven’t broken down to spend more than $200 on a maker. Cuisinart offers the best warranty at 3 years. I’ve had to have mine replaced 3 times over those three years.

Cartoon gif. A still of the original Snow White is edited together with an animation of a flowing river of coffee coming out of a coffee machine. Her mouth is open wide, guzzling the caffeine goodness.

Not sure I’ve EVER met anyone that drinks that much coffee. You must go through 4 LBS per month?
