Did you say Coffee? Oh yeah baby! I have 4 large grinders, 1 solo grinder, a 14 Cup Cuisinart drip coffee maker with charcoal filtering. I have a well with particulate filter, water softener, then filtered again with faucet filter before going through the charcoal filter in coffee pot as great coffee begins with great water! When it comes to coffee - I GET SERIOUS! :joy::hot_beverage::flexed_biceps::flexed_biceps::flexed_biceps::eyes::heart::100: @TXRon

I drink tea on an hourly basis, touch of milk and no sweetener. For the most part I don’t like coffee but I will drink 3 to 5 instant coffees a year.

My ā€œCooks" brand auto drip maker starts the 4 shovels of Folgers every day at 4:50am. It finishes by 5am. Except for the 8oz that my wife gets, the rest is drank black by me… out of a 12oz double insulated stainless coffee mug. I look like my avatar by 7. Is that deep enough, Grace ? Now it’s your turn

I have not attained the lofty status of ā€œCoffee Geekā€ just yet, but do enjoy a cup of freshly ground in the morning.

I used to be a fanatic. I bought a pretty expensive espresso maker - $1500 probably 10 years ago, pretty expensive grinder - $500 5-6-7 years ago and even roasted my own beans in small batches with a friend. Really fun but we moved and I lost momentum.

I still have the machine but the problem is that high quality whole beans are crazy expensive and then ding you with shipping on top ot if.

Now, I use the Clever Dripper with a gold cone filter & an electric kettle that I can heat the water to 202-203 degrees. I grind the beans and within 10 seconds, the ā€œoptimal temperatureā€ water hits the ground coffee and steeps for 4 minutes. You set the Clever dripper on top of your coffee cup and fill it. I also use a French Press now and then.

This is the Costco coffee I use now. $17.99 for 2.5 LBS and it’s perfectly fine. Yes, it technically goes ā€œstaleā€ before you use it all but who gives a crap anymore! My pallet is about as discerning as my eyesight with the AM9 which ain’t much.

My badly stained (we call it ā€œseasonedā€) dripper and filter could be a deal for you to get you started :joy:!

After my water comes out of my well, goes through my particulate filter, goes through the usual welcome to Florida Sulphur removal, through my water softener, through the faucet filter on the sink, it enters my 14 cup pot, then loaded in to my Cuisinart DC-3200 14 cup auto drip coffee maker W/charcoal filtration. I do NOT play when it comes to my coffee as great coffee begins with great water! Various coffees from various selections from either one of my 4 countertop grinders with hoppers loaded or maybe use my solo grinder for something else that is desired by my taste buds for that particular day. The old battle a…. er… uh… I mean wifey is gone most days as she is younger than me & has to work still, so most of the time I get the entire pot to myself :joy:
