My box is bad. When I turn on, it turns blue then goes red. I have to unplug it and plug back in for it to work. Happens every time I turn it on so it’s going back
Did you give RAI permission to install Apps? Check developer options.

Right I’ve taken the plunge and started working on the Buzz box, everything seems to be going ok and I’ve got Tivimate installed. But[there’s always a but eh, lol] , When I press the pause on the Buzz remote it is pausing the Tivimate but I cannot do the fast forward or rewind using the remote. Is there something in the Tivimate settings that I need to do?
However when I press the guide button on the remote and the box then goes into my IPTV service provider epg and I choose a channel through that I find that I can pause/fast forward/rewind.
So is there something I need to change so that the pause/play/fast forward rewind will work using Tivimate.
Also not too sure if I’m going to like this remote, as Troy mentioned in his review, I also feel the buttons should have been slightly raised as occasionally I’m pressing the wrong button if I’m not looking at the remote and I’m not too keen on the mouse pointer scenario with this remote.
I may have to look at getting another remote that will work with the Buzz 5 TV box and hopefully with voice control in built as well. So I’m open to any suggestions regarding the remote.

The remote is made to work with the buzz iptv setup. Not all functions will work with tivimate. I paired another remote that I prefer over the buzz remote, What people need to understand is the buzztv setup is meant to be all inclusive within their interface, iptv included. When you step out of their eco-system you cant expect everything to work as you would like but you can manage with a little effort.
Just out of curiosity, are the settings for powerkey definition set to suspend?
Thank you, TX. Can I ask what remote have you teamed up with the Buzz box and does it have voice control on it? If it doesn’t have voice control [I know not everyone is that bothered about that, but my wife likes the voice control]
The power key definition at the moment is set to “shutdown”, should it be set to something else then?
Mine is set to “suspend” and it powers off and on properly.

To my knowledge the x5 doesnt support voice.
That totally sucks and I hope you have better luck soon. I noticed you were on stbtalk, maybe you could try to reach out to the buzztv developers on there to see if they can iron this out or return it. Just my experience so far is getting help on stbtalk is not quite as easy as troypoint insider. But you can always give it a shot.

Yes I did. I already initiated the return and shipping it back next couple of days. I think I’ll wait a bit before grabbing another one. Great device and fast. Not sure the Wife & Grandkids would dig having to use the mouse feature to watch Netflix. They watch a lot of it. Not sure they would like the remote either. Wife is picky lol. My Shield Pro is really a favorite of mine and they use it very easily. I like to “find my remote” feature as well. When I told her it was giving me issues and had to unplug to get it to work, she said “Get another Shield Pro” my answer…OK. Not being able to pair with our TV was really not fun

Give the ugoos x4 pro a look… to me its still the best of class for under $100 and as much power as the buzzbox.

Will it run Netflix without having to use a mouse feature? Lol That will be the main concern. Shield Pro is simplistic for them:rofl:

The mecool km2 box is a great netflix box. I have 2 and no issues. Voice remote and full android tv box. Down side is 8g on board storage only.
