hmm, I didnt hide my zip ties good enuf…but you missed the bailing wire holding the ssd

Lots of Buzztv X5 users here. Any thoughts on Buzztv X5 vs Nvidia Shield Pro?
Its a personal choice. Ive had both brands and I like the shield but the buzz box takes a back seat to nobody. Very polished and very snappy. Just got it today, but Ive tried the 4900 box and its a killer too. I have noticed that buzz doesnt like my xplore tho…my fav file manager?..so off to find one that behaves like the xplore is sposed to.
Just noticed the buzz has a flip switch in dev options for unlocking the boot loader
FYI total commander works great on the buzz box…closest I could get to xplore.
Had the same heartbreak with xplore, it just doesn’t want to work. 
nope, very strange. I would put my usb in with tivimate backup and it wasnt recognized. I was able to do it with the in-house explorer but I didnt like the setup. Found Total Commander in the aptoid store, works most like xplore I could find. I tried several.
Hate to bug you when you’re busy but do you have a link for total commander or is it at my favorite store which I’d have to enable (Google)

its in the aptoid store, comes installed on buzz. Right next to all apps…the button that says app store<<< thats aptoid

I second that. Tvmate very good. I had TV mate all set up, set up with the record on my computer, all ready to go get ready to cut the cord and damn I found out that the e p g goes out only 24 hours. I record a lot of live TV I’m not into the VOD so much so now I got to find a IP TV that has a epg that goes out at least one or two weeks.

A little off topic here but im going to chime in here because if all you want to do is record you are not going to have a good time.
Your best bet is to vod style your tv shows and moves. Recording works but its not where near as good as a cable company. This is do to iptv providers. I highly suggest getting access to tv and movies other ways. EPG’s are not always 100 percent accurate, issues happen with iptv guys, displaying wrong content… all kinds of things. if they go down or buffering happens your records will be effected.
true true. with vod theres not much you cant find. Saves time, hassel etc. Only shows (mostly) that I record are shows most likely not to show again normally like a news show and I hate news shows … only record them for if I hear something good was on I can go back

The Buzztv interface is very nice…however the recent channels it shows you on the main screen are only from whichever server you were most recently viewing. Thats a minus that ive seen so far. I like how tivimate groups all servers together and lets you organize as you see fit. So I as a long time tivimate guy think its a better fit for those who wander …and buzz is fine for those that dont…old habits die hard…or do they. Even with the buzz fancy home screen I find myself wandering down to the tivimate button
