Just checked out POVā¦and itās pretty impressive. Scrapers are super fast! TB, PM, and RD all pull fine and fast. PM seems heavily favored also, just as much as TB.
Umbrella and Fen light play well with TB also - but POV pulls more sources (I havenāt looked deep enough to determine if TB integration contributes more to that).
Stremio still king when it comes to finding a source when all others failā¦including POV.
Does Torbox work with Cinema? If not, whatās the best Real-Debrid alternative that does? RD doesnāt seem to be pulling in many good streams to Cinema anymoreā¦thx!
Agree wholeheartedly. I was gonna try RD along side of PM, then I thought Iād try TorBox along side of PM but then I thought, WHY? PM provides a gazillion sources all by itself. I shifted into āthriftyā mode and stuck with PM alone. Now I have more $$$ for Black Friday deals .
I have been trialing a TorBox Essential 1-month trial for a week now. It initially seemed great and felt very comparable to my existing Stremio config w/ Real Debrid. I particularly appreciated their easy to navigate website and intuitive and account subscription options / process! In terms of performance, Iāve started to noticed it not being as consistent in the last couple days for some reason (unable to find and/or play streams). Another oddity is that although I still have the Torrentio addon enabled, it doesnāt appear that any Torrentio streams are being served up (only Media Fusion & Comet). Maybe I need to remove and re-add the Torrentio addon, which Iāll try later tonight when I get home.
I did some additional quick testing this morning before heading to work. I tested 1 Stremio account on my Onn 4K Pro (configured with TorBox), vs. a separate Stremio account on my phone w/ Real Debrid. I tried playing a couple streams from a very popular Harrison Ford movie (80ās trilogy). When trying to play a few of the same streams in the separate Stremio accounts, only the Real Debrid one was cached and could be played. This is far from obscure content, so I was surprised. Granted, I still need to do more testing and across a broader range of movies, but Iām starting to check more boxes in the RD camp vs. TB. My main hope with TB was the sharing across multiple family members and support for concurrent streaming with different IP addresses. Thatās my only real complaint with RD. The ease of setup & sharing a single account / API key across multiple boxes & households is a powerful use case. Having to create multiple RD accounts and manage several subscriptions and renewals each year is a pain. Maybe thatās a reason to check out Premiumize and maybe cash in on a Black Friday deal coming up later this month? Thoughts?
I just searched for the movies (Iām pretty sure) you were trying with the Torbox addon and Torrentio with Torbox and both provided numerous instant results from 4k remux on down. Note: I set up all of my addons individually, not with AIO etc.
Torbox and PM have run BF specials in the past so probably will again this year.
Definitely could be something with the setup. For my original Stremio account w/ Real Debid, I did everything manually with adding and configuring my addons. For this new (test) Stremio account, I gave the Bootstrapper method a try (which was super fast and easy by the way). There might be something not working as part of that configuration, or with the AIOLists addon. Iāll do some more testing / troubleshooting later. Thanks for your note & confirming how itās working on your end.
Are you using a VPN on your Onn by any chance? When the Torrentio addon doesnāt show up at all, itās usually because the developer is blocking many of the datacentre IPs that VPNs rent from. If thatās the case, you can try to disable the VPN to check, or just change servers until you find one that isnāt blocked.
And I also agree with Scooby that thereās probably something in the setup preventing the results from showing, since even the working addons you mentioned, Comet and MediaFusion, show results for something as popular as youāre looking for.
I also highly recommend this addon as it is the only one truly rivaling Torrentio as far as amount of results goes, I donāt know if itās already included in your bootstrapper setup:
Itās as easy as picking the service and entering the API (and I would leave the box for only showing cached content unchecked, but thatās preference).
thanks for the tips. Yes - Iām using SurfShark VPN on the Onn 4K Pro. Iāll try switching to a different server, thatās a great tip (especially because Torrentio was previously showing up until recently).
I also appreciate the recommendation of StremThru Torz. I had not heard of that one, but will definitely give it a try!
Just added StremThru Torz using Torbox. Pulled up quite a few links. Is there a rate limit like Mediafusion and Comet? Unfortunately you canāt limit the file size.
I am not entirely sure of all the apps that it integrates into. I do know you can add it to Syncler and Weyd, but in general any app that gives you the opportunity to add an API key to you can use TorBox. The following may answer more questions for a wide level of users.
For limiting file size thereās no setting since itās generally intended to be used with AIOstreams, where you can set a global file size limit. But it should do an okay job at finding results regardless.
There is no rate limit, or at least none that a person could possibly reach. If you are hitting rate limits on Comet and Mediafusion, you are most likely using the ones hosted by Elfhosted, and they have really strict rate limits.
You can use any of these instead, they donāt have rate limits:
I got it working again, and Torrentio is now providing links w/ TorBox. Iām not entirely sure what the specific issue was, but it seemed to be something with the Onn 4K pro and/or SurfShark.
I ran through a bunch of troubleshooting scenarios including rebooting my Onn 4KPO, cleared Stremio cache, uninstalled & reinstalled the Torrentio add-on, completely uninstalled Stremio and re-installed it, tried several different SurfShark servers, and set Stremio as a bypass / exception app to not use VPN. I re-tested after each of these steps, and it finally worked but itās unclear what exactly the issue was. I think itās something device-specific because using the same Stremio account on my phone with VPN running, and using the same server (Chicago or NY), I was finding Torrentio streams when on the Onn 4K Pro using the same VPN settings was not. Odd issue without a crystal-clear step that finally resolved it, but in any case it does now work on both mobile & the Onn!
