I have not seen any recommendations for android boxes with gigabit capability, plus 4 gb ram, other than the review of the Mecool KM3 deluxe plus. I don’t need a certified box because I get Netflix, Prime video, etc. with my smart tv. Anyone have a good recommendation?

Hard to beat the value of the Rupa box for its raw power on the cheap. No certs here, android 11. gig lan. Makes a great iptv or kodi box.

Great choice for 4gb ram and 1 gig ethernet! Id spring for the higher end one which offers 8gigs ram if I had not just bought the MINIX U8K-Ultra. Hmmmm…Amazons return policy is still good though…decisions decisions.

But I don’t see an HDMI port and for my system this doesn’t have HDR.

Its got to have an hdmi out. And to @Reece yes they have an 8g box. These boxes are no comparison to a ugoos but they are real good as a secondary box for “rouge” apps etc. I like to keep my trusted apps on my main box such as tivimate, stremio etc…seperate and put apps like sportsfire, kodi etc on a 2nd box such as this.

It’s a good box to mess with but just don’t be fooled by all the 8k talk in the description… it has zero certifications.

YOU? Ive had a brand new MINIX U8K-Ultra for a week now, and its still in the box!.. WHY? because I had to upgrade my surround sound to a Samsung Q990D 11.1.4 first. It came in today, but…I have to take my Bose 700 system down first. (Never Could get that beast dialed in right anyway) Yeah…I’M the one thats got it BAD, so welcome to the CLUB @Comtech! i had a pioneer 5.1 reciever that did it’s job for like 6yrs…i have a yamaha 7.1 reciever that is FREAKIN AWESOME…this bad boy makes the house shake…it’s like your actually there…audio wise…wife? not so impressed lol…but i luv it

Id love to get me a new receiver in the not too distant future. I just got the New Samsung Q990D hooked up to my Samsung 85" 8K in the living room. Right out of the box it synced with the Q-Symphony settings, meshed with the TV Speakers, configured the Subwoofer AND Rear Speakers! I then used our favorite YouTube alternative & slammed on some Umphrey’s Mcgee (My favorite band) and JEEZ LOUISE I’m Rockin in the FREE WORLD now baby! First thing that happened was the Wife hauled-butt in fear of the mighty bass attack and locked herself in the dang bedroom!! I’ll have to coax 'er out with a coupla grilled cheese sandwiches and / or some Hagen-Daaz!!

I have had the 990C since the day they were released. With the Quick connect System it was so simple to set up. However I still did get the smart things app on my phone so I could fine tune the sound system and various volume settings. Absolutely love it, especially with a good movie.
