Amazon Officially Blocks 3rd Party Piracy Apps on Firestick/Fire TV

Yes but my friend says the advert assumes you have paid subscriptions to the likes of Netflix, AppleTV and all the rest. He says he’s not sure if you can add the apps mentioned in my previous question?

Yes you can. Just install the Downloader app and then you have access to sideload anything you want on the Thompson Android TV/Google TV Box.

I followed Troy’s tutorial when it was first published. Now some weeks later, my 4K Max no longer works. It sits on the LOADING… message for awhile and then goes dark and non-responsive. Guess it’s garbage.

I have the current Fire tv update and all my 3rd party apps are still working fine. If you want to know how I did it let me know.

Share your knowledge and experiences. That’s what the insider is all about. You may be able to help others and that would be much appreciated.

Hey Troy, I have a legal subscription to Paramount Plus, I use Surf Shark VPN and installed Projectivity Launcher on my Fire Cube. When I go to launch Paramount plus I receive a message stating that the app needs updating. When I click on download, I receive a message stating that “the App your looking for could not be found”. I’ve turned of VPN and tried and nothing. I tried going to the fire cube amazon apps to download and it doesn’t give me “app not found”. It just sits there and then returns back to Projectivity Launcher and opens my YouTube TV subscription. Is Amazon blocking Paramount Plus that was on their app store? Help some if anyone know why I can’t upgrade and watch Paramount plus.

Hello, first things first, try restarting your Fire TV device and try again.

My thinking is by blocking Amazon updates, you block updates via Amazon App store meaning you can’t update Paramount Plus app.

Try side loading from
https://apkpure.com/paramount/com.cbs.app

Amazon is blocking my vpnsafetydot app. Any workaround for this issue?

Monitor Dot works great if you can’t figure out yours. It’s in the TP Toolbox.

Toolbox is down at the moment. Cloudflare server in Chicago seems to have failed last night. No timeline for it coming back on line. Troypoint.com is also down.

Fire cube restarted. That wasn’t the complete fix. I had to restart the cube few times and turn on & off the VPN as well as switch locations. Finally I receive the prompt to update. I went through so many steps I can’t remember them in sequence. I am certain that restarting the Cube several times is a step you must use 1st and restart it in the Fire TV app, not just unplugging from an outlet.

Thank you team for the help and suggestions.

I read about this in a small subreddit that deals with the topic. A working way to unblock restricted apps is using the “App Cloner” app, which also worked for me during testing. It’s available in the Amazon Appstore. You have to write the name exactly like that, otherwise it won’t show up.

Is the HOMATICS Box 4K Plus TV Box 4K okay to use?

The Diggz build stopped working in Kodi two days ago. I never got any warning before that. Kodi will open but the Diggz build is inoperable, which is where all the apps are. It sounds like Google may not be far behind with this kind of action.

I’m still using Cinema HD with no issues. No ads, no malware. Using with Real Debrid.

So far in the uk no problems at all as for digs build can’t say I don’t use builds but it Dosent sound like it’s blocked you would get a pop up saying that

Gave App Cloner a try after reading this, honestly shocked it actually works! The interface is a bit clunky and the app cloning process can take some time, but small price to pay. Pro tip: definitely type the name exactly like you said or it won’t show up in the store. Thanks for the heads up.
