what is the hack app?
The hack that blocks Amazon from sending updates. 🔥 Huge Update for Fire TV Launcher Manager (First Look) - #27 by dogg5150
thanks dogg5150 was not sure if tivmate was amazon or goole verified so thanks. when I moved over to Apple TV I was fully aware that I would not be able to side load but have not missed anything from a streaming prospective
You may not be doing it but using someones intelectual copyright is theft of their property. It’s no different than you owning a well loved family pet and someone comes in your yard and says that dog is his and takes it. You are viewing it cost someone to make and charges a price to use it. By jailbreaking a firestick and installing his movie without paying for it is theft.
Will my firestick still work since I already followed all the previous tutorials from Troy and my firestick is blocked from updates.
Thanks.
Troy point tool box download was blocked on my firestick 4K today.
Hello, yes it will still work.
My smart TV can have iptv like ibpro and Smarters so with a dodgy iptv subscription, you will still get all live tv and most also supply on Demand tv and Movies so no android device required at all.
You will not know most of the time. Some times it’s part of a bot net. Sometimes it’s mining crypto for Ho Chi Minh. Unless you monitor your network traffic 24/7 and track everything coming and going, you won’t notice. Every piece of malware isn’t there to steal your passwords and identity.
How can you tell that an app has been blocked? Are there any messages or the app just doesn’t load? I tried my Stream Fire app and it sort of just freezes. Other apps are working so far. So I’m not sure if it’s an app issue or it’s been blocked.
Amazon will put up a notice when you click on the app
Google will be doing this too. Onn is one of the the devices they will be targeting. Anything with Android TV. Troy Point has a list of some devices that will work.
Google won’t be targeting sideloaded apps until 9/2026. We also don’t know if they will be removing apps like Tivimate , Stremio, and Kodi as those apps are approved and available in Google play store. Those are the only 3 apps I need. If I were betting man I would think that Amazon will eventually remove those 3 apps as they aren’t Amazon Appstore approved.
I think ill wait and see what happens rather then by new equiptment. The one main app i use is Tivimate and there are many free and legal iptv services you can use with it so i can not see them removing it. But no one knows at this point. Right now my firesticks are working great. Happy streaming everyone!
Well, someone I know just ordered a Fire Stick and they can’t do anything. Oh well
Tell them to return it and buy an ONN 4K Pro
Will the exploit hack stop the app blocking?
For now it will but if Amazon get wise to it then who knows it’s a cat and mouse game
Hi guys I went into Google search for blocking Amazon fire TV updates and this is what I got.
I tried it and it worked on my router.
I know Troy has a video on YouTube with the hack that no longer works unless you buy a fire device without its updates on it.
I have a TP link AXE 5400 I believe AX21 model. I went into parental controls under home shield not paid and added these URLs listed below and then added the devices I wanted to add it to like firecube 3rd gen. Saved and checked for updates and it listed after checking now update error. After a while it cleared back to check for updates and did the same thing after checking. So this Hack will work on fire TV cube and probably all of their other devices so your apps will not be taken off and blocked by Amazon. I think they may find a new way who knows. But who the thought that Google would give me this information under AI Thanks Google. Cheers guys.
"AI Overview
To block Amazon Fire TV updates via your router’s settings, you should add the following URLs (domains) to your block list or use a service like Pi-Hole or AdGuard Home for network-wide DNS filtering:
URLs to Block
Recently checking that search on Google they have a lot less URLs now I think they’ll have to be checked every so often in case some are added. By Amazon
amzdigitaldownloads.edgesuite.net
amazoneu-ota-prod.amazon.com (for EU region devices)
How to Implement the Block
Access your router settings: Log in to your router’s administration panel through a web browser. The exact process varies by manufacturer.
Find the filtering/blocking section: Look for settings related to “Access Restrictions,” “Website Filtering,” “Blocked Websites/URLs,” or “Parental Controls.”
Add the URLs: Enter the domains listed above into the blocking list. You may need to add them one by one. Ensure you block them using DNS filtering if your router supports it, as many consumer routers can’t block specific HTTPS addresses otherwise.
Apply and save: Save your changes and, if necessary, restart your router and the Fire TV device.
Verify the block: On your Fire TV, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Check for Updates. It should fail to find an update, display an error, or spin indefinitely.
Note:
Blocking these URLs might also affect other Amazon services if you block broad domains like amazon.com. The list above is specific to update servers to minimize interference with other services like Prime Video.
If an update was already downloaded before you set up the blocks, it might still install. In this case, you may need to perform a factory reset without an internet connection initially and then apply the blocks.
An alternative method involves using a firewall app (like AdGuard or Rethink DNS) on the Fire TV device itself to block specific system apps related to updates (e.g., com.amazon.device.software.ota), which can be more reliable than router-level blocking in some cases. "
