I read this as well on slashdot last night.

If true I guess we’ll all be moving over to Onn devices!

This sound like a definite escalation.

What’s happening now is more systematic and far-reaching. Amazon has formalized its partnership with ACE, which means the blocking will be based on ACE’s extensive intelligence about illegal streaming operations rather than Amazon having to discover problematic apps on its own.

ACE has been fighting digital piracy for years and maintains detailed databases of illegal streaming services, apps, and websites.

They know which apps are providing unauthorised access to Premier League matches, Hollywood films, and premium TV shows – and now they’re sharing that intelligence directly with Amazon.

So, it sounds like ACE will make the decisions. I wonder how far they will go. Will apps that don’t directly provide content like Tivimate and Stremio be included? As this rolls out it will be interesting to see how fire device sales are affected.

Last year at this time they crack down on real debris accounts.i just hope that the folks that have amazing skills when it comes down to developing this stuff and how much credit I have for them we just got to stay in two steps ahead and anything I could ever do My hand is up

Android Open Source Boxes. Theese have no affiliation with Google tv like Onn boxes or ruled by other operating systems Amazon, Roku etc. Theese will never be touched by rules or outside sources. (AOSP) boxes my 2 favorites are Formuler then Ugoos.
