you need to bind your torrent client to your vpn so that it only downloads from your vpn ip addy
and if your vpn isn’t on? you wont be able to download or stream and noone can see what your doing,by binding it your provider can’t see what your doing and neither can anyone else
also you need to use a static ip on your vpn so it doesn’t change everytime you open it

google “bind vpn to torrent client” and you’ll never get another notice. Guaranteed

I got a warning about 6 years ago for torrenting. I had ExpressVPN at the time but the VPN connection dropped and I exposed my real IP. I started harping on customer support about adding a kill switch to their software but it just fell on deaf ears. I finally got fed up and dropped them for SurfShark. I’ve had great success with SurfShark and saved a lot of money over using ExpressVPN.

kill switches in vpn’s fail all the time,a split second and you’re exposed…that’s why binding your vpn to kodi or your torrent client is way better…no chance for mistakes

I bought Surfshark about 3 weeks ago and have nothing but problems with it. It seems like too much work. You have to constantly connect, disconnect to go on certain websites. And there is no real customer support at all.

My kill switch on SS has never failed me. There’s other problems with it but not I’ve never had problems with kill switch. The biggest problem is when you have to disconnect SS to get your IPTV signal to work again you have to turn off the kill switch then turn it back on that’s one thing I dislike about it.

How do I setup and use a VPN on my Android smartphone?

You can set Surfshark to auto connect. I’ve used it for years without issues.

I used to set SS to auto connect however if a recording stopped I wouldn’t know if the internet was disconnected or not.

I’ve had it for at least a year now and have no problems. Just make sure the auto-connect is on and the kill switch is set to disconnect internet if the VPN craps out. Also, be very sure you use the free VPN Monitor Dot app. I set it so that the green (On) dot flashes dimly and slowly when the VPN is connected and when it disconnects I have it set to flash brightly and quickly, so you can’t miss it.

Hi mhuberty I’ve had cox here in Nevada for 8yrs with Gigablast speed.Modem is free w/landline phone i have a tp-link AX1800 Fire stick max 2nd gen. The good thing about the TP link is added with Alexa I can turn my guess Wi-Fi on and off that is important if you have people coming on to your system. Remember when you download those are high gig Cox only gives you 1280 gigs of data month. The TP link you can get $79 on Amazon before I got IP vanish I would stream all the time with Kodi and APKs and never got a notice. Cox information about this is kind of hidden you’d have to Google it first and then it will direct you to their website. I use cinema APK films plus, and Tea Tv on occasion. Now maybe if you have the panoramic Wi-Fi if that’s what they call it now with modem board / Wi-Fi built in their unit that you have there could be a possibility I’ve never had it You’re paying extra for that Plus with TP-Link AX1800 router you have more control but Cox when I don’t like about them is on their website they break it down as to what you’re doing streaming They think it’s cutesy to let people know this I don’t want to see them do it at all. I pay about $95 a month for phone with gigablast speed but I also get a ACP discount for being on some government program. I have Kodi as a backup on a Walmart onn box I got for free but never use it rarely. One time I started to download a movie it was taking too long that was before I had gigablast no IP vanish I stopped it. I always pick about 2 to 3 GB for a movie stream. I try to help people answering these questions especially when you’re another Cox customer. Cox likes to rip people off I used to have to call every year to work a deal with them and it would always be within the week of the price going up that they say there were no discounts. Now I’ve noticed they’ve made my contract for 2 years.moolahwireless has a $45 1,000 MB speed plan I need to check out. I looked up the affordable connectivity program listed internet providers and found them. Usually satellite or anything other than Cox would be real slow and not give you that much data each month. But I’m going to check them out cut my bill in half and let Cox know they can stay in the past. Anyways been doing this since 2008 with my first laptop. Hope I have helped and also save you and others some money.Peace Brother

Are you using a kodi build or just individual sites

This is the risk you take when you pirate content. (No judgement here.). It can be tricky to hide your tracks. Even when using VPN, sometimes the illegal streaming service is actually run by the MPAA or law enforcement. Use a fake names and less traceable payment methods. It’s also easy to make a mistake with a VPN where your real IP address gets exposed. You can find out the IP addresses of the streaming service and block those at your router, but those IPs probably change often. Also block IPV6 at your router. This can be difficult to set up if you’re not a techie… like I said… “tricky”

As for the take-down notice, don’t worry too much about it. The cableco will usually only take action after many notices. It’s essentially a warning.

BTW, I suggest Tribler for torrent downloads. By default it uses proxies to hide your IP. For Streaming a VPN is probably best.

I had to do the same thing after Spectrum gave me the same warning. Torrents.

Yes i agree with you 100% that’s the only issue i have with s.s

Too many problems with Surfshark. I went back to IPVanish.

I have had great support via chat. Give it a try

I’ve tried the chat several times. It’s a bot and it takes you to the app, that’s it. Nothing more. And when I send a message through their online messaging they emailed me back every single time in the middle of the night and I’ll answer the question but I get an answer again in the middle of the night by a different person. They suck suck suck and I’m getting pissed off talking about it again.
