Am testing IMPLAYER. It’s a learning curve and has mostly the same components as TIVIMATE and SPARKLE. About the same price for lifetime. Everything seems to work as another choice/flavor of tool. — excepting recording with fire tv devices. That failed.
I emailed him and he emailed back with this response. So, the rumors are incorrect. Alex is still in charge?
Good Alex is still in charge of tivimate the app. Wish it had more improvements for fire platform
How good is Purple IPTV?
OTT updates quite often, same as Tivimate.
For ATV, IPTVX updates regularly
Maybe you should try the premium “Tivimate Pro”.
Mine works flawlessly.
Had not known that OTT did any updates. Thought that was an old tool that just stopped.
Does OTT have time shift ?
Last update was 87 days ago. v1.7.0.2
Much better than Tivimate however it’s always a personal choice.
I have it on 4 devices, so I’d say I’ve tried it. Don’t know why you thought I said it doesn’t work well?? It works as close to perfect as I’d expect. But it doesn’t get updates frequently.
You are saying OTT works well on four devices ?
No, I was just replying to the comment from Chipparoo who was telling me that I should try premium TiviMate Pro. Couldn’t really figure out why he addressed that comment to me, maybe it was a mistake.
Does channels DVR act as a player on its own or is it just a recording app and a EPG?
Given some of the updates kind of wish it was made clear that certain apps work on which version of ANDROID? There is android 12 on the Walmart ONN device. There is fire OS 8 and 7 on fire sticks and cubes, which is equivalent to 9 and 11 android. Some apps have not been updated to use 12 and previous versions. It even gets more jumbled when you look at android versus android tv. And then google TV is another version to mix it all up.
I can - add the much needed/wanted ability to pause/ff/rew Live TV (known in apps that can do this as ‘Timeshifting’). Why he hasn’t added this important feature keeps TiviMate incomplete imo!!
Do so, highly recommend - it offers ‘Timeshifting’ which TiviMate doesn’t.
Well worth the $20 US!
That’s because he listens to his customers recommendations & tries to implement what they want if possible. Obviously, some are & some not
Not sure what you’re asking. TiViMate has the ability to time shift in order to get your EPG to your time zone, if that’s what you mean.
Settings>EPG>select the EPG you want to modify and click on it>Next window is that EPGs config page and the name of the EPG is at the top>scroll down to “Time offset, h:min” and click on that, then - or + the time to match your time zone.
If for a program that has already shown and your IPTV supplier has catchup then you can go back in time to watch what has already played.
No bro., talking about being able to pause Live TV & go back up to 90+ minutes to watch from where you left off which you can’t do in TiviMate (I’ve tried several times!!) The developer’s call it ‘Timeshifting’ (both Sparkle & CosmiTV) In ‘Settings’ you can set the amount of buffering time for it. It is saved on internal or external storage. GREAT feature!!
P.S. Don’t have catchup any more - provider found it too much work maintaining (& wanted to get rid of the cost of providing it!)
Ahh got ya. Ya that only works in TiViMate if you have a sub with “catchup” so you can go back in time on those programs.
