Thought I’d throw this topic out there for the ultra-budget minded out there. I’m curious what are some of the least expensive services that you know of while still providing something that’s decently robust and watchable.
Kemo/KemoSat/Lemo comes to mind. They’re almost always running 20% off promos and you can get a 1 connection 6mnth-1yr deal for right round USD$4/month.
What’s odd? Your kemo sub is $3.20/month/connection. Your Hooterz is $2.43/month/connection. It makes sense more connections + more time = more discounts.
Definitely a decent option for ~100 channels that have a solid uptime. I like that it’s easy connect with Kodi. It’d be nice if there was a way to get a m3u playlist with it and plug it into TiviMate. I’ve found solutions on github, but they only work if you’re running a server and you access the playlist from the same network your hosting.
Yeah, I used to have an m3u, but that went bye-bye many moons ago. Benmoose39 (ProjectMoose) has that project you are referring to on his Discord group, ProjectMoose
The person I dealt with is a developer on that group. They have something to be used with Kodi. I don’t have Kodi, but I did download an apk to my nVidia a year or so ago.
~ means more or less Also the total number of channels depends on where you’re located or if you run a VPN. About 30% of their channels need a VPN.

There’s ProjectMoose, but there’s also this one that has a nice GUI to boot: GitHub - interlark/ustvgo-iptv: USTVGO Free IPTV. Sadly both solutions require you to be on the network you’re hosting on for the m3u links to work.

Kodi plugins for UsTVGo are a dime a dozen and easy to install/use. I’d be more interested in something that would allow me to integrate those channels with Tivimate and use IPTVBoss to scrap the metadata needed from the feeds to get a working tv guide.
Yep, they sell Nord for the restricted channels, but use my SS to gain access. Also, the free version of Proton VPN used to work, and there was another I just tried recently that worked and you could add an extension to your browser for convenience.
The guy a worked with did have an m3u for USTVGO, but he shut it down many moons ago. Sparklesunshine did all the epg coding for it and did an excellent job!
Sure would love to see that come back! EPG I don’t give two seconds thoughts, I can manipulate m3u lists and hardcore EPG metadata to any stream with IPTVBoss (why does this app not get mentioned more here I’ll not understand, it’s literally god-mode for IPTV).
I can via channels dvr, Its installed there too. Basically the app generates my credentials and I can insert on any device. This is possible with emby also just havent set that up yet.
I agree! It has a pretty good all around selection of channels. Coupe that with Syncler, Stremio, etc… and that is about all most people would really need.
Hahah now we’re going in circles a little bit here. I have no problem accessing USTVGo while on the go. I can access it via the web, via kodi, via casting. The ultimate solution (in my humble, personal opinion) would be to have it in tivimate as an m3u link that’s ran through IPTVBoss so you can set an EPG to each channel, but currently the only solution for that means you have to access it on your LAN and when you’re outside of that, it doesn’t work.
I also live nomadically and am more or less in a permanent state of traveling. I do have a server that I’ve setup in my dad’s house that I use for things like managing modify playlists of popular services for myself and friends and I looked at that for hosting USTVGo m3u streams, but that LAN issue was the one I ran into. The only way to truly get around that would be to rehost the streams yourself with xstreams, but that requires a relatively high-end server (which I don’t have) and the bandwidth to serve that.
So while things like casting or accessing from the web or kodi works and is sufficient for most needs, it’s always fun to see what else can be done in this space and what sort of technical limitations we can push.
