What Are IPTV Connections?

When you buy a iptv service you are asked how many connections you would like to purchase.

My question is how do you determine how many connections you need?

Do you need one connection for each internet connection?
Or do you need a connection for each tv you are watching?

Or can you use one connection at different addresses as long as one is on at a time?

one connection per usage at that time

Per usage does that mean each tv on same internet connection? Or per usage mean each internet connection?

Examples = 2 tvs on same internet connection = 1 or 2 connections needed?

Not using home connection. Then using it at different location using different internet connection 1 or 2 connections needed?

So if I only watch 1 TV at a time no matter what internet connection.

I only need 1 connection?

Because I only watch one at a time but sometimes in living room and sometimes in bedroom. And sometimes at a different address same thing!

has nothing to do with your internet service. It has to do with services rendered. If you buy one connection, then all you are allowed is one connection at a time. You can use it in one location/device at a time but its not specific where. If you have a home server you can use one connection and re-stream to all your devices.

Ok thanks I understand now.

If I only watch one TV at a time and others are off I only need one connection.

I think I should buy 2 connections just in case I may have both tvs on.

Thanks

@Miki interesting re: Multiview on Tivimate. I have Amber’s Strong 8K as a backup service. It’s one connection. I rarely use Multiview but there was another thread where someone was asking about how many multiview screen you could open on Strong without buffering. With 1 connection I was able to open 5-6 different screens. So it appears Tivimate doesn’t have any limitations on multiview with 1 connection

So with 1 connection, 5 different screens isn’t a violation of your 1 connection sub with AB? That’s pretty slick. Thanks.

Who knows it vey well might be. I didn’t realize that opening another screen in Multiview was using another connection until I saw @Miki’s post. But apparently you can do just that on tivimate with only 1 connection. Never received anything from Amber about it either

I was always afraid to try it for that reason.

It will definitely let you do it. Good way to get your account banned if provider is monitoring. Amber wouldn’t be the one monitoring as she isn’t the provider.

@Miki the one I use is $13.99 for 5 connections and works great .

@Miki yes American dollars

Thats pretty good . Mine was that for 5 until about a year ago .

Correct, one at a time with one connection but I had 5 TVs going at the same time with 3 connections on one IPTV service. I had another service where I paid for 2 connections and they were strict, a 3rd TV would not work with that service.

Also it depends on what iptv service u have. Because I have a service that dnt care how many connections you have. Jus have a good internet connection so it won’t buffer soo much. Wen they dnt have no cap you can buy 1 connection and watch multiple screens at 1 time like do. Because I’m a sports head so I watch multiple sports at 1 time

Yes. That is right

This is from the “Best IPTV-Wholesale $2/mo & Alternative” topic, a comment by @IndigoJon back on Oct. 4…. so maybe things have changed….
I have been using Strong from Amber and it works well in both TiviMate and Sparkle, except I don’t seem to be able to record to Shield external storage with the 1 connection she offers. She said Strong is only available with 1 connection, so has anyone had good experience with a similar provider who offers 2 connections?

Private IPTV Access is my main service and is USD 10.00/month for two connections. If you pay with bitcoin, its $8.50. The channel selection is ala carte. You choose only the channels you want, or all the channels in a category.

Hi Steve, ive been using pia as well and love the ala carte setup. Never had a single buffer using it either although I do route it through a server. But service response is very fast, I would think its automated….all in all best so far ive dealt with.
