I wouldn’t purchase it at this time I’ve had it for almost 2 months now the V2. A lot of apps on it are not putting out Dolby vision,HDR or Dolby Atmos. I’ve spent more time notifying the app developers like moviesanywhere,Fandango, even movies that I own on YouTube. I thought Paramount was doing it too but they recently did like Amazon paying for no ads to get 4k and Atmos if I’m correct. But Paramount through research they want you to up to the premium tier to get Dolby vision, HDR. I get Paramount plus essential with the Walmart subscription at half price food delivery. But Paramount catalog is pretty good and all the movies are in HDR, Dolby vision.
One thing Amazon prime for me to always test Jack Ryan the series majority of them are in Dolby vision, Dolby Atmos so I know right where to go to test why they didn’t do each episode in those formats I don’t know why.
Funny thing I just got Nuvio set up completely yesterday for the first time and it was able to play HDR.
There have been some weird glitches happening with the ONN 4K Pro V2 that I’ve notified ONN streaming support for anybody who wants to know the address is
onnstreaming@outlook.com I’ve sent them a few emails and they said they would check into it but if you Google it a lot of these apps have incompatibility issues with the ONN 4K Pro V2 it’s up to the developers to force their HDR and the system and they haven’t done it yet. I go right back to my fire TV cube third gen and it plays fine it’s the same app version.
On streaming wants me to send them pictures I’ve taken pictures and I’m not send it to him yet.
But frame rate matching doesn’t work on anything except for Nuvio surprisingly.
So I’m going to email them again and tell them that I didn’t like being their guinea pig for fixing their problems but there’s also a toggle in the settings
Under display and sound and then go to match content dynamic range and I leave it to on which should be on if you wanted to match. But when I turn it off it puts all content throughout the pro in Dolby vision mode which should not be done. I’ve let them know this and we’ll see if they fix it.
Plus you only have a 30-day return on this Walmart in your purchase if you purchase it with other items like me with food it makes you believe you have 90 days but when you start the return process and click the ONN it will say after 30 days return is expired.
Walmart’s website does not list also anywhere on the box that it comes with a one-year warranty. No where is this said.
At least I know which apps to go to until it’s fixed but I like things working right when I get them.
I’ve only had my experience with one ONN 4K box 2023 that I got for free and I thought the home screen looks so dull that I didn’t use it I had the fire TV cube sorry to ramble on but I like to get this information out there to other people but the ONN 4K Pro V2 look the same way and when you click from app to app the color of the screen background would change color which is annoying to me.
The Nuvio app enlarged on the screen when I was in settings menu I was able to force a stop and corrected.
I did tell ONN streaming email that that clicking navigating sound was very annoying and should be left off by default not on because I couldn’t find it for a whole day that setting even when I Google it AI answered old information on the new device. I don’t know who would like those clicking sounds are you not stimulated enough.
Also I was able to use projectivy app and set the AI upscaling too high it was set on low I noticed a difference surprised Walmart did not put that feature anywhere to help sell their device like Amazon fire TV cube 3 gen dead.
I absolutely do love the Gemini AI built in wins 100% over Alexa devices it will answer questions that the Alexa device will not answer and show you information YouTube videos or additional questions related that will help you on it that is a plus. Internal speaker sucks and volume max is 80% in settings. but it’s not used much if TV is off it will answer you but says in their manual that it will automatically turn your TV on which it shouldn’t.
Overall I think this device would be good for the future but if Walmart fixes all these issues then it could be great. Hope I’ve helped you in making your decision but for me I would just wait. Till they start releasing it in Mass to the public. Cheers
Managed to snag one just as the shelves were being loaded up in Corona, CA…brought it back with me to where i live (England) with the intention of replacing my firestick…only to find they are geo-locked to USA and Puerto Rico. Read somewhere that they could be fired up first by using my iphone as a hotspot but no success with that. Any other work-arounds?
Make sure your hotspot is running your VPN in the USA then you’ll be good to go there’s a lot of info on that on The insider do a search. Also would be best to do a factory reset first before you try again. In the settings
so there I was just walking through the electronics department at Wally world and a slight flicker caught my eye coming from the glass enclosed case and I saw it and only one was on the shelf, Now you know the rest of the story 
Thank you, I have enough devices just wondering how they were working, there seems to be none around where I live. I saw someone on Discord bought one and tried a Gig Speed USB adapter and it cooked the port, so they sent him another one and it did the same thing. He bought a google streamer I believe next.
It works okay I do have a gigabit Ethernet connected and get about 380 down on my 500 plan TP Link gigabit Ethernet adapter. In the 2 months I’ve had it connected that way I’m not had a problem. Still my moviesanywhere app does not play anything in Dolby vision HDR or Atmos that does on my fire TV cube 3rd gen. Movies anywhere support had me send them a lot of information twice and then told me they were upping it to their development team but couldn’t give me a time when it would be fixed.
I’m sick of Amazon screwing up my devices my 4K Max 2 in the bedroom when they did their major home screen update I’m not able to get into my settings at all so I ended up downloading a aftv settings app in there haven’t gone in there to check if it’s in there cuz I don’t watch the TV someone else does.
I did for the heck of it the other day going to the Onn 4K Pro V2 ad at Walmart and chose store pickup and then search other stores in my area and I put every zip code in Las Vegas in and checked all area stores and none showed any but two months ago I saw the one store near me show in stock and I have them deliver it with food it wasn’t my usual store but when the guy delivered to me he told me he came from my store so that’s just weird that they picked the closer store instead of the one I picked but they did give it to me even though they had it listed in there as being not stock at my regular store. I think Walmart knows they screwed up on this device with their HDR and frame rate matching Heck if you turn one setting off it puts everything on screen and Dolby vision everything that’s not right overlapping Dolby vision some shows might look weird. Amazon does have that feature if you want to force it but when you turn a toggle off in the ONN box it shouldn’t force it like that they don’t even explain it. In the settings. What pissed me off was Walmart support for this streamer was correcting me on my 90-day return saying it was only 30-day return and you only know this until you pick your item to be returned otherwise you think you have a 90-day return once it’s ordered with other food. They also told me it comes with a one-year warranty which is listed nowhere in their ad or on the box that comes with the unit or in any literature.
Gemini does work very well. When I ask it questions.
I don’t like when you go to check for updates and you have to look in privacy in the settings there should be an easier way to get there plus some apps just sit there waiting to be updated even though I have updated on auto update.
Had new Nuvio installed first time user of that one day I wasn’t getting streams the next day I was still have films Plus working but trying to get better links still messing around with that I don’t have a lot of time lately. It seems like you need Debridio then you don’t need Debridio as per Troy and now I see it’s back on the list again. I guess it’s all a learning curve from people leaving the fire TV device system. I messed around with it enough but all these things should be working on it like the fire TV cube when I purchased it.
If you don’t care about HDR Dolby vision or frame rate matching then this would be okay unit but I would wait a while for anybody till Walmart gets their crap together and does a major update on this device. It’s not worth the time having to notify all these support people and them wanting more information when they know it’s screwed up. Hope I’ve helped
Yeah, your probably not going to get far contacting Walmart support and telling them about issues they probably have zero knowledge about or who to even contact in the Company. They literally have millions of retail SKU’s, these ONN boxes are made in China, so you wouldn’t expect Walmart to have anybody that knows about HDR or frame rate matching.

I have been using this to stream exclusively. It is fast and very responsive. I had the previous pro versions and while there are little differences, I do prefer the new one if not for the remote alone.
what is different about the remote compared to the old Pro version?
The remote lights up and you can also find it having Google find it.
Oh, yeah. The new pro is perhaps the best entry level device out there. I hope you enjoy it.

I believe the initial shipment of the old Onn Pros came with the light up remote, and then they got changed to a standard remote. Mine has a non-light up, normal Onn remote, apparently I missed the boat lol.
The remote did not light up on my previous PRO. The processor is faster too. I love the ONN pro. It has replaced my Nvidia Sheild and all FS devices.
