I have installed external storage on Walmart’s 4K ONN device. I followed the You Tube video and what I am confused about is at the end of the process does USB Debugging need to be turned back on???
I got bufferring at first so I need to know which of these Apps should not be run through external storage? I have Kodi and my VPN running on Internal Storage.
Apps on external storage:
Jio Pages
Sideload Launcher
Analiti
Launcher Manager
Wolf Launcher
Downloader
Xplore
Always keep most used apps on the device main storage. Looking at your listed apps I would guess that to be Jio, Launcher Manager, Wolf and the rest to external or added internal.
Depending on the size of the external storage that you are using, performance can be affected by lack of power supplied by the Onn USB port. In some occasions, larger capacity devices are better connected to a powered USB hub, connected to the box.
Hello @leachimj , like I say in the video, you want to turn off USB debugging as when your device reboots it won’t recognize your USB storage if you don’t.
Thank you for your input. I am new to the ONN device. I have several FireSticks and I believe I was confusing ADB debugging on the Firestick, which stays on, with USB debugging on the ONN.
Yes but after a reboot and the system has recognized your USB storage, you then go back into settings and then turn debugging back on as you said. I must be missing something.
@TechDoctorUK’s App Killer still works great on devices that allow ADB. Not sure if that is what you were referring to or not, just wanted to make sure you knew.
Appreciate the input AMD237.
I did uninstall Fast App Killer on my Firesticks. Never had it on the ONN devices.
I’m gonna have to rethink that. Thankyou
