This is a great place to discuss vpns, yes its widely posted on here but now we can funnel the information into one spot. Vpns are absolutely needed into today’s digital world. So normally when I run a speed test on the 4K firestick without IPVanish connected, I get just over 200mbps. Just now I did a speed test on my phone and it was 614, then a speed test on the stick with IPVanish connected and it was 46.84 and then I have to restart the stick if I disconnect IPVanish …

The great mystery of the speed test results. I just typed this in another thread so i pasted here… “Oddly enough my onn 4k three rooms away is getting better vpn wifi speeds than my onn 4k pro 20 feet from the router. I can get into the 90Mbps on the reg and about 70 Mbps on the pro on the exact s…

Interesting, I usually get close to the same speeds no matter what device or speed test I use. Perhaps because I don’t use a VPN? I just googled speed Test and tested the top 3 search results. My results down were 370 Mbps, 366, and 371

Hello all. I have received a ‘Forwarded Notice of Alleged Copyright Infringement’ from my ISP; this is the second one I have gotten. I use surfshark on all my devices, TV’s, laptop, phones, etc. What’s the deal?? How are they getting my IP address and knowing its ‘mine’ if i’m going thru a VPN?

When you first start your device, run a speed test with your VPN on, then run a speed test with your VPN off. Your speed with VPN on…

There are certain VPNs where your speed is not affected or very little. For me both Proton and Nord give me either no drop in speed or say just 10 or so. Some of that may be protocols and some may be coding. Both suppliers are more expensive than SS.
