By increasing the dpi it should increase the size of icons on the UI and I don’t really see an effect within apps.
The font you will also see a size difference on UI font and some apps can be affected but I think it was only in Weyd for me.
Tx @Avid08 much appreciated. So far I don’t see anything that is different. I do notice a huge number of colour settings in Projectivy launcher settings>Display Profiles but it’s difficult to use the settings as my SK1 flashes a black screen every couple of seconds. Also my Framebuffer size is 3840x2160
I have used PL in the past but I can’t remember how much dpi and font settings affected it tbh.
I just use the standard launcher and it does affect that for me.
Not sure what would be causing you black screen other than frame rate and resolution changes.
I hope you get to the bottom of what is causing it.
Me to. I do use AFR and may turn that off to see if that helps. Tx for the clue, that’s one setting I didn’t change. Ttfn. It sure would be nice if Ugoos provided a full manual for the SK1 . I haven’t found any detailed info on the Amlogic super scaling or any other of the “Expert” AI settings. Hard to set up when you don’t have any info on what the system settings actually do. AFR off now. Lets see if the black screens stop.
I only use AFR on the apps that have it built in. I use the auto refresh rate in Tivimate but turn resolution matching off then when you change channel you will not see a black screen when resolution changes. This is the best option for channel hopping.
You will see a black screen if the refresh rate changes from a different
Country eg UK 25hz 50hz switching to US CA 30hz 60hz.
Ya in TiViMate I use the AFR for TV and have Switch screen refresh rate enabled and Switch screen resolution off. Turning AFR off in the SK1 settings did nothing. I turned it back on but with the “Switch frame rate only” enabled not the “Switch frame rate and resolution.” I’ll find the solution to this rotating on/off black screen one day. ![]()
I don’t use the Ugoos AFR at all because I found it interferes and causes issues with other apps that have AFR built in that I use.
I have not encountered the black screen issue other than what I mentioned.
Is the issue in all the apps you use?
Hey Miki, i find if an app has its own afr settings just deselect that app in the ugoos afr settings so there is no conflict between the 2.
Is the black screen flicker only in tivimate?
The black screen on and off happens occasionally in TiViMate, all the time in the Projectivy launcher and one other app that I uninstalled, sorry can’t remember which one. Thanks @Anth i have done that now. Don’t know why I didn’t do that in the first place.
Which apps do use Ugoos AFR with?
Just vlc player. As i use it in a vod app i have.
I only use AFR or Refresh rate with VOD apps or live TV apps.
I would only use the Ugoos AFR on apps that didn’t have it.
Weyd was the only app I used that didn’t have AFR or Refresh rate.
If you don’t have AFR enabled then something else is causing you to have black screen issues with Projectivy launcher.
I do get black screen in Tivimate when switching from 25hz to 30hz or 50hz to 60hz.
The only way to stop that would be by turning off refresh rate matching.
I don’t have refresh rate matching enabled anywhere. I have AFR enabled in TiViMate and enable it in SK1 for Stremio as Stremio does not have an AFR setting. I have now turned off the AFR SK1 setting for Projectivy and only use it’s internal AFR setting. Didn’t help.
I meant the setting switch screen refresh rate in Tivimate.
I would disable the AFR on projectivy launcher.
The afr enabled in tivimate will cause a black screen when you change channel and the frame rate is different from the channel you are changing from.
Hey Miki stremio does have its own frame rate setting by default it is set to change frame rate only. Have a look in stremio settings its second category down i think.
I have that enabled already tx @Anth . I don’t use refresh rate matching.
No probs Miki. I just have frame rate matching on as well.
I do use the AFR but not the Refresh rate.
I only have black screen when I change from European TV 25hz 50hz to US TV 30hz 60hz.
If I switch screen refresh rate off I don’t get black screen at all but the refresh rate will not be correct.
You only need switch refresh rate if you watch tv from different continents.
I get a screen blink when i change frame rate.
