This one is when you open Downloader app and paste the address.
This is the pic of the file downloaded to the folder with Downloader app.
That one is the one when you go to the add-ons section and highlight install from zip file.
This one is where External Storage is. Click on that.
This one is the one that points to Downloader folder.

I see what you are saying. For some reason my kodi doesnt have the Downloader file option. Its a submenu inside the Download option but its empty.
No problem, not all system files are equal. That’s where the creative part comes in. In a nutshell, as long as anyone that has Kodi with the Downloader app is able to see and install the file they should be good to go. Glad that I was able to help you guys out.

I tried it on my Onn box and got the same result.
Hopefully others can benefit.
I figured it out.
My Kodi permission for Files and Media was set at Allow only while using App.
I changed it to Allow All The Time.
Went back to Kodi and found the zip file right where its been blank this whole time.
The Crew Repository loaded up.

I’m having the same trouble x2 days. Will try again today.
Same here on shield and stick and cube. No repo even on Troypoint versions I already had.The ones I had crew installed are working, but you can’t get the repo to open. Something is wrong.

I have The Crew Repo in my Build. The Addon is working fine and I can Open the Repo. I have Version 0.3.6
The only way I can get anything to play is with the one click option.
When I still had my fire stick, I would have to reload kodi first.
I have the crew downloaded but when I choose a movie it will tell me no stream available and I have tried tv shows also same
Do you have Real Debrid? You are not going to find playable sources on The Crew without Real Debrid
