You do if you want add more than 100 items to your watchlist, collection or personal list.
You need vip and have to pay for a subscription.
IMO there is NO reason to have 100 items in your Collection at any given time. I usually have 20-30 in my Que and watch anywhere from 4-5 at the same time. AND after watching a complete series I Remove the item from my Collection
But there a user who want that and will pay for it.
Not everyone wants full audio pass though from a device but I want that and why I would only have a device that can achieve it.

I have been using trakt free since 2016, I have around 80 shows in my collection but still exceeded my 100 limit. I did what you are doing, each time a show was done for the season I would delete it, when in a year or so it came back on I would add it back into my collection. However by doing so you quickly use up your 100 collection. You can have 30 shows in your collection and still exceed the 100 limit.
Hmmm that is so strange you are having that issue as Iāve never had it and certainly have at one time or another watched over 100 shows that have been in my Collection at any given time. When you say ādeleteā from your Collection how are you doing it? I go into Trakt Manager and āRemoveā from my Collection. If you Remove it from your Collection it is gone and no longer in your Collection
Yes I do the same if you add a show then delete it and add it again thatās consider 2 collections. Over the years I have added and deleted same show sometimes 3 to 4 times. Each time you do this it counts as a collection. So keep this in mind
Yeah I donāt want to argue about this on and on but I do not think this is correct. I think it applies to if at any given time you exceed more than 100 shows/movies in your watchlist/collection you cannot add more. Because Iāve been using Trakt for 6-7 years and have watched several shows with more than 10 seasons and always Remove a Season from my Collection and then Add it back to my Collection when there is a new Season.
All I know is that trakt stated I exceeded my 100 list, and can no longer add any shows to my collection even though I only have 80 shows in my collection and I donāt have any other list
The 100 limit was implemented late last year or earlier this year but I am not actually sure exactly when.
You can use watchlist if your collection list maxs out.
Also the great thing about watchlist is that when you have watched one episode or finished a movie it is automatically removed from watchlist and frees up space.
Also when a new season is released the show will reappear in Trakt In progress shows.
It is one of the best features of Trakt and works as it should if the VOD app you are using supports the feature.
I use Kodi and it works perfectly for me.

Thanks for the info avid08 I tried to add shows to watchlist however it will not work. When it stated the 100 limit had been reached, I unable to add anything to collection or watchlist, however when I check under my TV shows then progress shows all the shows I ever looked at will show up there . It includes every movie and every TV show that goes back years, well over 300 in this list which stills gives me access however itās a bit large to use as daily
I still think the issue you are having is that somewhere you currently have 100 combined movies/shows in lists/collection or somewhere else. I checked my History of shows and it says 276 and I can tell you that each of those 276 shows at one time or another were in my Collection. So why am I not getting the āexceeded my 100 listā message as well?
I have over 4,000 items in my collection apparently and donāt have VIP and have no issues with anything.
If you have āselect Everythingā in Filter those are all the episodes you ever collected. I have over 3,000. A better guage is to go into History then select TV Shows.
Markxg you are absolutely right. I have forgotten about my movie list which I didnāt use for a year now. I have 20 movies there which gives me the 100 limit, just wondering if I delete this movie list will I be able to add more to my tv collection?

My guess is yes. Try deleting 1 Movie then see if you can add it back.

Sorry I have made a mistake and I believe it is 100 items across all lists so you may have a list with 20 items as you have 80 in collection.
Also I donāt use collections and prefer watchlist because it auto removes items when you start watching them.
I used to use collection for reference but stopped when the 100 list limit took affect.
If I need to reference content now I just look in Trakt history because history has no limit.
Ok I deleted the 20 movies, then added 1 movie to my movies and 1 show to my TV show and both were added, Big thank you to MarkxG. for your help .I would never thought to check my movie list till you mentioned about other list. Again thank you.

300 there. I donāt ever use Trakt website or app for doing anything. I just use it to keep track of what episodes of shows and movies I watch with Umbrella on Kodi. I see a new movie and just long press and add it to āUmbrella favoritesā

Never had this issue as I do a lot of āhouse keepingā on trakt. I donāt like long lists of anything and when a show ends I delete it from the list .My current list only holds what I am watching right now as I like to be up to date ! But hey even an all you can eat restaurant will have limits on greedy gorboes !
