Yeah I understand Watchlist is probably the way to go. I’ve never used Progress, Next Episode, or Calendar and prefer to use Collection. I only watch 3-4 shows at any given time so I just go into Collection, current season, and see the latest unwatched episode. I think there are several ways to get the same results

I do the same, have all shows under collection, I believe watchlist and collection are same thing. When a season is over I use to delete that show from collection, when in a year that show came back on for another season I would add it again to collection, however doing this would be consider 2 collection for same show, by doing this for other shows as well I quickly used up my 100 collection limit, something to keep in mine when adding shows to your collection leave them there and don’t delete any. Also handy to use on your phone or tablet is trakt calendar. On your phone open up trakt.tv go to dashboard and find calendar once you have it make a short cut . This will show upcoming shows.

Collection is different to Watchlist.
Watchlist triggers new season to appear and no need to delete and re-add new seasons. It works in conjunction with in progress, next episode and calendar if the VOD app has those features.

The “100 show” limit can be bypassed… when you search for a show, simply add the first episode as “watched” and the show will still be added to your list.
I just tested - still working.

welcome

Make a list instead!

That’s exactly how I use it, this way all my streaming devices that has the same add ons will show my collections of tv or movies I want to watch later. I also use trakt to find similar shows/movies which I then add those to collections to watch so it can monitor what I like and suggest. Not to repeat but after open the add on I go to my tvs or my movies.

I think that’s because when you watch one episode of a show it removes it from Watchlist and there is no limit in shows you are watching as they become part of Trakt history.
But it is a good way to exceed the limit.

100% the exact same way I use it. I have the App on my Phone and always keep a Chrome Tab open on my PC with Trakt so if I hear of something interesting I add it to My Collection and it’s synced across all my devices and addons so next time I open KODI it’s right there in My Collection

I’ve had issues in Kodi, but not in my other apps, like Cinema HD and Stremio. In Kodi, it tells me I have reached my limit of 479 items in my collection. I’ve tried deleting the ones I no longer need, but even when I delete them in Cinema, etc., they stay in Kodi.

I switched to Simkl a couple of years ago, I like the layout better than Trakt. It syncs well with Syncler.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe simkl is free to download but if you want to add shows to a list you have to pay

If you read through the site you will see a checklist for free/vip/pro and there is also a lifetime option. The checklist shows the features.

Thanks for the info, you do have to pay for the service if you want to be able to make a list, however it is a lot cheaper than trakt. But another thing to keep in mind is that all add-ons in Kodi allow for trakt, however only a few allow for simkl.

Not from the checklist I referred to. As part of the free service it has the following.

Favorites Lists
Discover the joy of curating your very own list of top favorites from the world of television, anime, and cinema! Share your personalized collection with friends, family, or fellow enthusiasts, and let your preferences shine through.
Discover Custom Lists
Read, like, and follow any member’s custom list. Explore all the lists created by PRO and VIP members.

Thanks, I will give it a try.

That is correct, I have never paid and have several shows saved in different lists along with movies in a Plan to watch list.
