TiVo Stream 4K ....check YES or NO

Question for anyone using this product. I am trying to set up iptv for an older veeeery non tech couple that want real simple. They do like tivimate after letting them use it for a month or so but hate the mecool box outside of tivimate. So they want some sort of integration and even I am not sure whats gona float their boat . So will Tivo make it easier or should I look elsewhere? :eyes:

Hey TXRon, Why not go the “basic” route. 4K Max and Wolf Launcher. That way you can do as I do for the tech challenged. You can load Movies and TV, in one folder, live tv in another, better yet let me upload a pic. It won’t get any more basic than this.

Thanks Miki…would work but not for them as they are seeking some kind of integration. And to be honest might not be able to achieve what they are after. So far Tivimate is all they like. Firestick left them with an anti-firestick after bad buffering and mecool solved that…but its my mecool box and I want it back for a backup :joy:

Sorry but if I could understand what you meant by “integration” I might be able to be more helpful. Odd though regarding their Firestick dislike as learning the ins and outs of TiViMate is far more difficult.

not really if its setup and maintained by me…to them its wonderful and it just works

Lol. Aha. Now I kinda get it. Oh well, I honestly think there isn’t an answer to your conundrum, a catch 22. Good luck.

Yeah if Tivo doesnt have an app… yur skrewd

just had a thought…if tivo uses apps from the playstore and tivimate is in the store…shouldnt it work?

Then Tivo would need a url… even more problematic…lol

Oh hey, silly question maybe, but why not install TiVMate on the Tivo? It’s in the play store.

TiVo Stream 4K Review - Read This Before You Buy in 2022

We run TiVo Stream 4K on all of our TV’s except living room which is the Shield Pro and have TiviMate on them all with no issues. Very solid product In my opinion and easy to use. I purchased ours for $29.99 each and I like The Review @TROYPOINT did on it. I agree with all aspects of it as I’ve been using them for several months now. High point for me is how durable they made the remote

I read that but finding how to pair the remote was pretty easy. Hold back button and TiVo button for 10 secs if I remember correctly. I could find those instructions again if you need them

Never had an issue pairing the remotes to each tv

Sideload it. I saw a number of articles about TiViMate on the Tivo. I also see it is in the play store.
