Tivimate vs Sparkle iptv player and the cheap alibaba iptv

Might be because sparkle is not overloaded with users such as tivimate. I think that sometimes IPTV services are overloaded with subs and that could possibly be the reason for buffering.

Tivimate is not an iptv service. It is just a player, nothing more.

i added my cc info to playstore, bought sparkle…then deleted cc from playstore

Really funny that I have found that my Alibaba service works great on my Tivimate. Whereas my $80 just buffers like crazy at times. $80 one takes forever to update, sometimes days. Alibaba updates very quickly. I use Alibaba only on TM, I have loaded on Sparkels and Smarters, it has the same problems. I find it strange this is the case. I like the way Sparkels looks with the logos, but don’t like the EPG layout. I wish it would look like TM but with Sparkels logos. I like a left to right EPG look and not the up and down. I know what helped me a lot was just increasing my internet speed, but even with that I still get lots of buffering with my $80 one. I have until Nov to make a decision. IPTV services come and go

Logos come from your iptv provider. Unless you made a folder of your own to use. Also, different epg urls may have different logos they display, but Sparkle has absolutely nothing to do with it.

The time it takes to update depends on how much needs to be updated. If it is taking ā€œdaysā€ for you to update. Then something is amiss.

Yes, I do realize it’s not any of the players. The problem I have is there will be days that my $80 service is unwatchable because of the buffering, and like right now it works well. You can’t have this kind of service, up one minute down the next. I find it strange that my Alibaba service works well all the time. Inconsistency is a real problem. What I said about the appearance of Sparkels logos was they’re very bright and colorful

Go into your Tivimate settings>playlist>choose a playlist>Logos Priority> and choose a different logo setting. I have about 25 epgs and will use logos from epgs on playlists that have blah logos. Also, having more epgs sometimes affords you the option of which epg you wish to use for a particular channel. Ex: I might have dozens of options for a local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, etc and will choose the one that I like with a better description and sometimes a more pleasing logo.

Interesting, thanks I’ll try this. Today my $80 is working with no buffering. This is the frustration levels because I want to really like it. The support is pretty good.

Does the playlist you want to use it’s logos have to be dwnloaded to the player you are using? So how would you get the Sparkels logos to populate on the TM player. Leaving now for work so get back to me when you can. Thanks

is there a guide as how to record on sparkle,i’ve been playing with it for a couple of days and still having trouble fiquiring it out …did a search and got nada
thx

What do you think happens if you go over the 5 device limit? TiviMate will intentionally throttle you back, or it’s a function of straining the system with more than five devices?

And have you ever noticed that the bad days (lots of buffering, parser errors) coincide with having people over to watch something like a big game? Seems like coincidence, but of course it could be server traffic. Though it happens for little games too…such as local baseball when I could go for a week with no problems.

Haven’t used Sparkle so can’t help there. TiviMate has been pretty solid for me. I suspect, after doing all the usual tricks, that it is the feed from the service that is the problem. Alibaba is tempting for a backup service though.

Sparkle does not have any logos! Your epg url and your extreme playlist are what has the logos.

Like I stated before, I have about 26 epg urls installed and I assign all 26 of them to every playlist I have installed. I do prioritize them for each playlist, and I will place the epg that came with the service in the #1 spot. Then I will place epgs in order of what I believe is more effective.

So if you want the logos that are appearing on your Sparkle. Then you have to install those epgs onto your Tivimate and then assign them to the playlists you want.

I can load both of my IPTV services on Tivimate. How do they not compete for the same channel. If one has a channel the other doesn’t does it show up on the EPG? Do have all 26 urls loaded on the same player? Still trying to figure out how to take the EPG from Sparkels and load it on TM. This is so fun, really!

The epgs do not compete. A channel is assigned a epg and that’s it. Unless you manually assign a different epg to a channel.

In other words, once a channel’s epg is filled. Once the channel is assigned then it remains that way and you don’t need to do anything more unless you choose to manually assign a different eog to that program.

Btw, I would strongly suggest after you do all the assigning that you should do a backup. A backup will come in handy if you ever need to reload your playlists. Then you won’t have to do all that work all over again.

I sent you a more detailed PM.

I know what tivimate is. I use smarters pro player and have for many years and have never had any problems. Tivimate is used I believe more then any other player.

I don’t use Sparkles but the Alibaba service works fine for the most part in Tivimate. The EPG sucks but I’ve only really encountered infrequent buffering on the non-VIP 24/7 channels.
Sometimes, the VPN connection that you’re using may be hampering the stream. My usual close VPN servers are sometimes not as fast as they should be and I have to switch to another that is geographically further away, but working better than my go-to servers.

I’ve been using TIVIMate for recording and haven’t had any problems with it. It can be configured to record internally or to NAS etc.

Regarding the comments listed above about buffering on one platform’s UI and not the other, you really have to take a deep dive into the configuration settings. Because a setting like Auto Frame Rate (AFR) for example works on one device ie, nVidia Shield doesn’t mean it works on a FireStick or Cube. If you test the two IPTV Service Providers side by side or one after the other using, configuring the same settings may not work because of compatibility issues with the hardware and software.

I have two Shields which I could use to do a side by side comparison but I’m in a middle of a move and my other Shield is still boxed up. Maybe you could go to your IPTV’s website and see if they have any recommendations regarding this issue. You could also check your data delivery format, WiFi or Ethernet. Are both devices connected to the internet the same way? 2.4 Vs 5 Megabit for instance. Even look at your hardware devices and where they are physically placed. There could be interference on or to the WiFi signal. Sometimes even two identical hardware devices can exhibit different behaviours.
Anyhow, good luck on your journey. Do what works for you. If one IPTV service (Alibaba) works better on one device and another service works better on your other device, set it up that way. Is one device using Extreme Codes and the other using a URL login?

Best of luck and have a great New Year.

I use Privado VPN that came with my Easynews account and I’ll lose 10-20% of my speeds. You get what you pay for!
