That’s disappointing. I’ve been having continual problems with my Shield and Plex, and bought an ONN a few months ago to have on hand if I decide to finally switch to a different box. Looks like it was a waste of $$$.
If one updates the older ONN device (with android 10) in system updates, * it updates to Android 12. I think that’s pretty cool. What other devices do that beside the shield?
but the system picker option in tivimate won’t work anymore once you update…you cannot chose an external drive to record to anymoe after that

I have a 4TB hard drive plugged into my Gl-inet Flint 2 router as a shared drive.
I can record/playback with Tivimate from any device on my network, 4k Max Firestick, GCCWTV, T-Vision Android Box, Sony TV, and a TCL TV.

Well I am back to my Fire Stick 4K Max 2nd gen!!!
Until 3 days ago I was using my NEW ONN 4K pro.
All was good, even recording!!!
Then , all of a sudden, all my programming stoped.
First I noticed that the internal storage was down to 2 Gb. After xploring my files I saw all recording going to INTERNAL storage.
Initially , after some work, I had got access to my 256 Gb USB drive I had pluged into a USB hub I was using, which also had an ethernet port.
I also noticed, it seemed a small thing at the time, when went to settings(TVM) I was not seeing “Check for new version”. Also I NEVER could access “System Picker” on my ONN. I really don’t know how I managed to get recordings to go to my 256 Gb USB drive on my ONN, but it worked for about a week.!
SO, I’m back to Fire Stick 4K Max.
System picker works great, as long as you have a USB mouse & keyboard(in my case). Is system picker an APP? If so, I couldn’t find it!
In have my recordings going to my USB external storage.
After my rant, I have a question.
Can I add a 2nd USB storage to my FS and fomat it to internal storage?
I want to make sure I don’t get the dreaded “Critical” storage issue.
If I do get the USB internal storage thing in/on my FS, will I see it ADDED to the storage you see when you go to the FS info on storage?

have you searched adding internal storage to firestick?
