Hello Everyone, is anybody else having issues with the channel guide using Tivimate? I’m currently using Apollogroup.tv and spoke with them about it. I was using the the recommended channel guide url and was told to try using https://epg.starlite.best/utc.xml.gz. Tried that and it didn’t work either.
I live in the USA, in NY. I’m using Surfshark, on Onn boxes as well as NVidia Shield Pro. Doesn’t seem to matter which device i use. Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Joel
The official apollogroup IPTV has their own EPG they don’t need a third party EPG. TiViMate is just a player, any content is added by you and the IPTV supplier is the EPG supplier. If updating the playlist doesn’t work then maybe you should delete your playlist and reinstall it with your credentials. Make sure you know what those creds are. I imagine apollogroup uses xtream codes.
Thanks Miki, yes, i am aware of that. I do like using Tivimate because of the record and split screen abilities. It also allows you to customize your channel guide. I’ve spoken to tech support a few times but have yet to resolve the issue.
I tried the Starlite EGP. It downloaded and populated initially, but it stopped working seconds later. My IPTV doesn’t have its own EPG, so I’ve been searching for one that will work.
I’ve been chatting with Apollogroup.tv tech for a while now. They recommend Starlite. They say thats the fix.
Miki,
I tried a couple, but they didn’t work for me. I’m still going through the list.
What good is an IPTV supplier if they can’t provide you their own EPG?
Some of those are older. There are a bunch of free working EPGs. That’s the problem, they come and go so darn quick. At one time I had 30 working EPGs. Eventually I deleted them all and just use my paid IPTV EPGs now. Most of the free ones are on here somewhere. Digging way back lol. But that’s all for me. To much surfing lol.
you don’t realize how valuable a working epg is until you don’t have one.makes me appreciate my services a lot more.
Actually Apollo is a great service. And they do have their own EPG, which is pretty good. I just choose to use it through Tivimate, which is much more customizable and allows you to record and split screen.
But you do use the Apollogroup EPG in Tivimate. I have 3 services and all 3 have their own EPG that is added as part of the entering of Xtream codes process.
I do. But, Apollo also has their own app with their own channel guide. You don’t need Tivimate to watch Apollo content.
Lol. I know that, but you asked if anyone was having problems with the Apollo EPG in TiViMate, not their own app. I never use an IPTV suppliers app. Every service I have is loaded into Tivimate. So if you are attempting to use the Apollogroup EPG without having their playlist loaded and credentials entered, then that would be why their EPG doesn’t work in Tivimate as you will need to access the server that has the EPG, and that requires username/password(Creds)

What is Shakepay?
I think it’s a bitcoin supplier, or to do with Bitcoin here in Canada.
@Joela63 I’m a long time Apollo customer and it has recently been a source of great frustration. They are having epg issues. Their customer service, Marcus in particular, have been useless. It was down for a good 3 weeks and Marcus claimed it would not be fixed. I got the starlite link from them which worked for all of 2 days. People on telegram were complaining.
Finally last week their starlite, epg began to work again, But now I see the channels are becoming unpopulated again. I don’t know if they will put the resources in to finally fix it. You are right, it’s much nicer to use via TiviMate. oh and, I am of course using their playlist with their epg.
I tried using Kemo, via TiviMate, but it would kick me out of Tivimate when I recorded anything. So that sucked. it’s a shame as Apollo had worked really good for a long time and losing the epg never lasted long.
Huh!! LOL
