Surfshark Launches Dedicated IP Addresses

All this tracking stuff blah blah blah. As long as my vpn hides my ip address and prevents my isp from seeing what I’m doing on internet that’s all that matters.

I’m proof that vpns work because I was one who received two letters from my isp that my connection would be terminated. Started using a vpn and haven’t heard from them in 5 years.

The two profiles above are the same person and they are trying to get this trusted community up in arms so they can easily track them on the torrent sites.

Don’t fall for it people!

Well said. I only want to know if I need to change something I’m doing right now. Otherwise, I am streaming along with my Surfshark.

Geeeez! Why are some people so defensive/combative here?
There is no attempt at a ā€œconspiracyā€ or corporate ruse to track people.
I contacted the Site on how to delete my original user and email address after I changed email addresses and created a new username for that address.

None of my posts were attacks, personal jabs, etc. at anyone.
I would think learning as much as possible about securely surfing the Internet and streaming ā€œanonymouslyā€ would be a good thing.

As long as my vpn hides my ip address and prevents my isp from seeing what I’m doing on internet that’s all that matters.

And this is my whole point. That’s not all that should matter IMO. What should matter is the totality of the service you use when it comes to your privacy, security and anonymity doing the above.
When you use a VPN service your IP knows how much data you are uploading and downloading, the server address you are connected to, the approx. location and can make a good guess on which provider your using.

I get it, some people don’t care about providers tracking their online activity while using a VPN service but providers should state that they do that and not try and hide it.
NordVPN changed their PP now stating/showing all the trackers they use to track their users, which is a good thing.
Surfshark was up front about using trackers when I contacted them.
ProtonVPN uses the Sentry tracker as stated in their PP.
ExpressVPN repeatedly denied using trackers when I contacted them as did NordVPN.

I personally use ProtonVPN for streaming and surfing as they have the fastest speeds I’ve found among providers and also allow port forwarding. I still use NordVPN occasionally for streaming as they provide the largest selection of servers out of country.

VPN’s are a necessity for streaming and any travel on the Net IMO.
I consider learning everything you can about the provider you choose to do that as being constructive.

Been streaming for over 10 years and never used a VPN for what it’s worth
