I am not quite sure where this should be posted, but I thought I might save someone the headache I have been dealing with. About 2 days ago it stopped playing and I thought it was an issue with the server. As it turns out it is a Surfshark issue. The latest update of Surfshark blocked my IPTV service when “Clean Web” is enabled. I turned it off and everything is back to normal.
I spent the last 2 days trying to figure out the issue, including trying other services and it worked the same with them, as well. I don’t know what they did to cause this issue, but turning off Clean Web solves the problem.
Same problem, same solution…turn off Surfshark Clean Web.
Also spent days changing server locations, force closing all apps and clearing caches with TDK, hours in chat with service provider, downloading and setting up different media players. Service provider even resorted to giving me new credentials…sure wish i had a keyboard! All to no avail!
On a whim, turned off Clean Web and problem solved.
Thanks so much I was having this issue and was just turning off my Surfshark VPN completely to be able to watch TV. I went in and turned clean web off and turned Surfshark back on and everything worked perfectly. Fantastic tip!!

I have Strong IPTV as well and run SurfShark (with Clean Web enabled) .. I have not encountered any issues other than some slight buffering that I corrected by changing servers..
I am having the same problem with Express VPN except that I can’t find a setting other than turning it off to make the IPTV work. This started about 3 weeks ago. Any suggestions?
Change your IPTV service. Some just don’t work well with a vpn, although I’ve never had any problems with any service using ExpressVPN, and I’ve been using it for over 7 years.
I like my service so I decided to change my VPN. So far surf shark is faster and just feels smoother. And let’s don’t forget cheaper. I have been an express VPN user for years because I was just too lazy to do anything else. So far, I am glad that I made the switch.
Hi, I’m using Cleanweb and had the same issue. However, ‘for me’ it appeared to only affect some VPNs. I laboriously went through many different ones, and found that Canada VPN didn’t skip a beat. I use the Montreal option. But that might be a coincidence and not the exact solution. Yet it seems the solution for me …so far.
