Surfshark causing IPTV issues?

I already did that update and to answer your question, no, it did not fix squat.

If you are having this many issues, I wouldn’t delay in getting over to Express. Call the $60 a boo-boo, and spend the $99 for 15 months (12 months after the initial 15 months) of Express. Cancel before 30 days if for some reason you don’t like it.

Yeah, I am talking myself into it and will most likely give up trying to figure out what’s wrong.

I don’t notice anything different with a clean web on or off. But I do notice if I’m getting a feed directly from a network there’s no ads, however if I’m getting a feed from like Canada CTV I believe it’s called then I get adds

Dumped ss and signed on with express, so far much better than ss. Very happy with express , 125 average mbps . Ss i was lucky to 80mbps.

Tired of dealing with simple issues that were never fixed, cheap service, but not #1 on my eyes!

Until Express speeds plummet and you get sick of the 6 device max, then on to IPVanish with 3 active VPN subs

SS works for me. It’s got a little issues, overcome and move on but it works for me for now.

Yes very well could happen and you are correct back to ipv or ss again

Decided to test SS and Express against each other. Will report back my findings.

I was setting up surfshark on a system today and noticed newyork server was the worst one I saw, from best to last. IMHO they have grown too fast and not kept up with the servers. Looks like overload. I also have mulvad and I would bet my speeds are double that of surfshark.

I don’t know if a VPN can make a difference on how fast apps open, channels load, and just the general snappiness of changing channels and such, but since I started using Express everything sems to be faster. Even that cinema HD app I was having difficulty with downloaded and installed in seconds and just finished watching my 1st movie on it and it was flawless.

What us weird was when I 1st download it yesterday it took forever and some of the links would display a message that my device can’t play this link. I thought I needed some sort of codec. This was with using a Kickass link which is usually one of the best. Also, I couldn’t FF/RW anything. maybe the download was corrupt because it took forever to download the apk.

All I know is, since using Express now my Tivimate responds better, and Sparkle responds better.

And I haven’t messed with the VPN at al since I set it up. I have it set to turn on with device boot and it does all the rest. Hasn’t dropped connection, and have used their recommended server for 2 days now and ZERO issues.

same here. With surfshark on my router I am able to make changes not availiable in app and nothing really helped. The shark was crawling and nothing I did would help. On my router I have 5 opvn surfshark servers, 3 wireguard surfshark servers and 2 mulvad wireguard servers. The mulvad are blazing fast, shark not so much. They have issues imho

In my opinion, speed isn’t the only criteria to judge a VPN. Surfshark just started to have little intricacies that drove me a little crazy. The Automatic Protocol select would always find a way to reengage (I wanted to keep Wireguard only), sometimes the app would get stuck trying to connect and I would have to force close/reopen, and the EPGs on my IPTV services would only load with certain locations…the rest would fail. I reinstalled Express and so far I haven’t seen those issues, and the speed is solid. …slightly higher than Surfshark. Time will always tell, and I still think SS is an outstanding VPN. But the little things got me to want to bring back Express to test it against.

Yep, had just about the same issues and even some more weird ones. Life’s too short to hassle with a frickin’ vpn.

FYI too, Express has a widget available just like Surfshark. I don’t think I knew that when I had it before.

Somewhat new to the IPTV world, and I have a problem. I use the Samrters Pro app on my MeCool KM3, and everything works great. I want to also run IPTV on my Apple Imac. The only Imac app I could find was IPT Expert. This app works with my IPVanish account, but will not work with my Surfshark account.

Its not just an IPTV problem. Safari and Chrome Google search functions also do not work when I use Surfshark, but will work with IPVanish.

Since everything works with IPVanish, I assume there is something in Surfshark that is not configured correctly. The error message I get from Google search is below.
403. That’s an error.

Your client does not have permission to get URL I from this server. That’s all we know.

Any help appreciated…

I read here that if you changed servers the problem would go away. The problem existed in all my favorite servers. I tried Chicago, and all of a sudden everything works. Somewhat strange.

Different servers on SS, using certain protocols don’t mix well with some iptvs.

Try using only wireguard protocol only, then retry your iptv service. Sometimes a reboot may be necessary after changing protocol.
